i saw a half roll of roofing gun nails today on the road


then when i went back that way i could see someone had driven over it...


the guy behind me stopped and picked them up..they were probably his because he had a contractors trailer and it was a dead end road


someones gonna be pissed off when they find a dozen new nails all wired together and stuck in their tire

this the only fire we had all year and the last fire. because I dont like smoke that much either. but the conditions were perfect last night . no wind, clear , smoke went straight up and burned from 11pm til 5am, coals were still hot in the afternoon for baked potato..

 

I have feeders out and they have nests in the shrubs so I get a lot of them. The babies are so tiny.



A little while ago there were 3 white tail bucks in the side yard. 8-point, 6-point and a 4-point. I know several of the last few fauns have been bucks too. Enough to start a gang. They must know it's safe here, otherwise you never see them outside of breeding season.

 

It can always be worse.

We used to hang at one friend's place all the time and chilled in his backyard with a fire. One time the neighbour came by and wanted to be cool so he threw a deodorant can on the fire. Well, we thought it was the shit when it exploded and he soon regretted it: we got all the cans with air pressure in it from my friend's house and kept going. Some of those clouds of fire were higher than the roof

 

you didn't have to.....we know you own pugs.dont deny it,,,,,,fire in the backyard is the obvious next level of bad behavior after owning pugs

the guy i work with got the worst splinter ive ever seen today. it went through his pinkie finger and out the other side. he had to go to a hand specialist to get it takin out.

good that the company we work for has insurance on us.
