some of you might remember how I failed that test I needed to get into college... That sucked... But i'm kind of glad now, because I've realized I was really only getting into that program for the money I may or may not make from it in the future...

I want to study something I enjoy, but what if everything I enjoy is a 'useless' degree? I'm wondering if I should go to an actual school for it and pay a ton, or just learn about it over the internet... Because either way I think it might be the same...

 

I can't speak for college, because I've never been, but you're going to learn a lot more in university than you'll be able to learn on your own. That said, it's really expensive and a lot of work, so it depends on how much you want to learn about what you're interested in.

 

Yea I agree you learn a lot more and it's much more official, but I mean for those degrees that are kinda 'useless' (for the most part) I feel a weird guilt spending thousands of dollars on something that probably wont ever get me a job... it sounds like a bad investment lol because tbh all I'm really interested in studying is film, philosophy, and marketing... Marketing wouldn't be a waste of money, but the other two... film and marketing kinda go good together though... I don't think you can pair those two things anywhere though, it'd have to be two separate things I assume, I dunno...

I doubt anyone has any experience with this, but as a Canadian, if I were to go to school in the states would it make gaining citizenship any easier? Or would it still be ridiculously difficult?
