There are some great auto mechanics here that have talked me through some of my own repairs.

Had a nagging pain in my finger for the last month. It got a little worse in the last two days. My mom talked me into going to the docors. I wonder if the clinic is open on memorial day.

we have a subaru. great, safe cars, but a huge bitch to work on yourself, and the parts are not cheap. but they are so fucking safe its ridiculous. my brother was hit damn near head on my a bus that tried to turn in front of him. wrecked the car, but he just had a seatbelt/ airbag burn. my dad lost the whole side of his car once, blew a tire on the highway and hit the barrier, everyone walked away from that. he was also hit by a schmuck who cut around a bus and a few cars that were stopped to allow my dad to make a left. hubby tried to replace something on ours, and ended up needing it towed to the mechanic anyway. its a solid niche market, and we are always running into people who use the same mechanic we do. they are pretty awesome, i dont mind keeping them in business. they are just further away now than we could push the thing.

Last night I saw Prince live, great show.

I don't know most of his music and I still enjoyed myself. I would say it was one of the best shows I've seen.

My only complaint would be that there was too much "we love you" coming from the band. Yeah yeah.. you love every city that pays you, haha.

i just took out cams from a honda crv trying to diagnose problems,,made a homemade pressure tested out of an old compressor regulator manifold...did a full cylinder check

guy was lucky cylinders still have compression even though the chain skipped some teeth...looks like ill be able to get him going again with just a chain kit

then i dethatched the whole lawn with power rake and ran the mower over it....ingested tons of sand from winter snow melt [IMG] ...been sneezing ever since but it was worth it to piss off the neighbours with the dust clouds

ive seen Prince live, musicology tour. hes eccentric, but i like his music, and i was pretty much brought up on it.

just starting to rain again, got some yard work done first. im going to be hurting tomorrow. moved some hens and chicks, some clover, and some of this little weedy plant, i already identified it, but i forgot what i IDed it as. whoops. its low growing, lobed leaves, and small white flowers. need to move some yarrow next, back yard to front. tomorrow, maybe... depends on the weather.

crazy neighbour running up and down the street with a knife saying he was going to kill people. little 4yr old girl that can come down the sidewalk was in the line of his fire., so I run off to grab her up and go in another direction.. this fucking dude was whacked out ... (this probably could go in the CCW thread) but he wasnt a major threat to me, he was out of control but easy to avoid.. but Id have no problem killing him if i had to.. lucky no have to. there was a few people that finally got wind of what was going on cause Im running up the alley with this little kid that dont know what is going on. i just telling her we have to get away from the crazy person and Im a take you back to your daddy,, she knows me so she wasnt very scared but she was scared some. the cops come pretty fast, lights a blazing, so he charged them with his kitchen knife, but then he ran back behind some fence... the police had much restraint cause they could of shot him, yelling for him to come out and put down the knife.. they taz him a couple time, but later as they are sorting out whats going on and interviewing people he broke loose from his handcuffs and jumped out the police wagon and was running til he was tackled by cops again.. i suppose he will be locked up for a little while. hes a fucking screwball. I watch out for him all the time cause you never know what kind of drunk he is going to be the next time.. this was the 8th time the cops come for him since spring started.

I'm very close to purchasing a 7ft pool table shortly. Refurbished condition, from a proper seller. They've done it all up. It's a lot more than I had thought it would be but I'm kinda really keen.
