It was a moment in time that will never come exactly the same again.

I found this site looking for somewhere to talk about books and to see some other people's religious beliefs. After about 1000 posts solely in the religious section I branched out and boy am I glad I did!

and just for the record, if you want to have everything you post torn and picked apart to the last dotted i and crossed t - go and post there. ;) (that's why I left)

I've loved weed since the first time I smoked, when I was 16 yrs old. Of course I didn't immediately become a "regular" smoker; but, I was as "regular" as I could be. lol There have been times in my life since then that I haven't ingested/smoked...but it was always due to circumstances beyond my control.

I sort of envy people that are able to not smoke, do edibles, or anything and still feel fine and not feel their sanity threatened. The only thing that would get me through times of no weed have been occasional drinking of alcohol (which I really don't like that much except for a glass of wine or 2 with food) and MOSTLY the knowledge that there WOULD come a time that I'd have some weed... lol :D

I studied psychology, graduating with a degree in this...and I know at times in my past I could have easily been diagnosed as having clinical depression, and without a doubt weed helps with this.

I wish weed mellowed me. Most times it makes me feel extremely self-conscious and that is not a feeling I chase after.

About a hundred years ago :D when my bff and I would smoke everything was fine with her. (needless to say, I would be in hog heaven ;) ) Now, as in the last 10 years she hasn't and won't smoke (or even eat a firecracker) because she says the same thing, that it makes her too paranoid to enjoy it. :)

it's okay Aerianne, you can go ahead and point the finger at me as I know it was a reply I made to you that got you thinking along those lines.
Like I said there, not any type of judgement call or anything, simply an observation.

I know I come off as an arrogant ass at times, but as I have said many times over the years, often people take confidence in something as arrogance or "snobbery" when it is often, for me at least, a confidance in what I am saying.
I apologize again if my comment put you on the defensive as that was not my intention

yes but a psychedelic journey is experience and all experience leads to knowledge of some type or another.
Consider if I, a complete novice at snooker, were to begin to try and "educate" you on the game, would you not pull out your experience card to set me straight?

    Same thing.

No, it was not just you.

I said something like "several"; and there have been several in the past several weeks; and not directed at me or any one particular person; and not just on the topic of substances. That's why I made the "snob" list as broad as possible.

We have more weed shops then Starbucks out here. But it's nice to be able to buy what you want without the jumping through the hoops of a dealer. No waiting in a parking lot for them, no risk of arrest. It's like buying a gallon of milk. The only thing I don't like is we have a law that the weed must be concealed. So stores charge you an extra dollar or two for a bag unless you remember to bring your own. If it's legal why do I have to hide it?

This is interesting but kinda scary at the same time. I wonder if one day we will rely completely on software and not doctors. We already trust computers with so much.

I'd love for doctors to become obsolete.

i kind of like him taking the blame

it takes some of the wondering away from everyone else who feels it was directed at them

i vote its 100% his fault

I found a flea, well I think that is what it is on Lace. Ran out to get some stuff to treat her. In all the years I have had dogs this is the first time I have ever had fleas. :(

I see what you're saying, but I'll just use this as an example.

    Exhibit A)
This is Jeff Gordon. For him to continue his professional racing career to the age he is now, he wouldn't have don't drugs. He wouldn't have participated in his career had he done drugs. I regard this fellow as one of my personal heros, a great guy with a lot of experience who helps so many people that aren't as fortunate.

    Exhibit B)
This is... I don't know. I don't even have any words. But in bias personal opinion, dude does drugs.

Now based solely on the information above, who do you think the majority of people are going to turn to for life experience and questions about living etc.?

And I know it's a terrible example but it galvanizes what I said before.

There would not be one question I have about life that I'd ask exhibit B with an intention of getting any sort of serious answer. Now he may be having the time of his life in that car and a really fun weekend doing whatever he's doing wherever he's doing it, but as for a spiritual connection, I'd prefer Jeff who doesn't believe what I believe at all, but, would have a fresher insight to such a topic than exhibit B based solely on looks and presentation. :D

I know what I'm saying isn't really evidence at all, and that mr. Drug fucked right there may hold all of life's answers and I don't know it and won't know it based on looks. But also, in my experience I'm 99.24% certain I'm correct in any case.

Also, I've often heard the saying that "those who cannot participate should teach and those who cannot teach should participate" or something similar. I've always wondered how that works. I heard it once from a race team that if a crew chief cannot race a car he should set it up and teach someone who can. But how can you teach someone when you can't do it either? I've never understood that phrase really. But, if you knew the mechanics of snooker, your angles and a general idea of what to do, even if you had no experience in playing, is still listen to you because you might see something that I don't. There is an adjudicator that doesn't play because he has bad eyes and hands, yet his vision for the game and understanding of it is enough for me to ask questions and obtain a little amount of coaching. :)

So I wouldn't pull out the experience card on you necessarily, oh until you prove to me you literally have zero clue.

I try give most people IRL the benefit of the doubt or leeway until I can be certain. This can take months or seconds. :D

If I never had done drugs, or at least stop doing drugs when I was first in the army reserves. I would have continued officers cadet school. I would of went on to be a helicopter pilot. Instead I bounced around my mos and even used the military to duck civilian legal troubles. well who the fuck doesnt.. people that dont do drugz.. ;p

That is the one I also got. It was what they recommended. I also got an instant spray to use and then they said to put the collar on.

Now I have the hebbie jebbies.
