A new Keno game comes up every four minutes, here. You have to pick your numbers and buy your ticket before they start the new game. I usually buy 10 games at a time but she wouldn't take my money before the start of my run. And sure enough... I had all six numbers marked... and couldn't get it bought in time.

I bought this game when it was on sale months ago and still have not played it. It's just sitting on my hard drive. Sony gives me so many free games I never have time.

It looks like a long one too. Very long if you do all the side jobs.

I want to say something in here because a couple of posts lately have me thinking about this.

I don't smoke pot on the regular.

I have not done many psychedelics.

I've dabbled in most the drugs that were around and popular in the late 1970's.

I did more meth, and drinking, than anything. With my family history I know I dodged some big bullets being able to put those down with no trouble.

I am certain that it does not make me any less worthy (for lack of another word) to post at Hip Forums.

I have been a mother since I was 21 years old. There were four years between when my youngest graduated high school and when I became a grandmother.

I have spent these last 35 years, at most times, in control of myself. I've had weekend's, or a week here and there, when my kids and their kids weren't what I had to consider first, but not many. You never know when one of those phone calls and emergencies might come up.

Besides all that responsibility, is the fact that where I live even pot is still illegal. I'm not about to regularly put myself in a position to be in jail and to lose time and money that I can't afford to.

So, anyway, that was on my mind and I just wanted to say it.

Aww Aeri, you didn't need to say any of that. Lots of folks don't smoke or do drugs on this site but I don't believe they shouldn't be here. I'm sure there had to be more to the hippy days than free sex and drugs. I don't even know if anyone here is really a hippy at all. Maybe Shale, he'd be my first to point of the finger.

And like, so what if you do drugs? I don't think it makes you any more special or worse off most of the psych heads I regard as toss pots quite frankly, I find it completely laughable to base arguments in certain forums based on your psychedelic drug experience. Lol. Fucken who ever does that?? :D what a pathetic justification. "I believe this because I was on psychs once and this happened". Lol.

    Thanks, for saying that.

I guess I got to thinking about the differences in lifestyles of the forum members and how some people do "trip" on themselves and how awesome they think they are for whatever the think their claim to fame is.

I just wanted my chance to brag about who I am!

Sometimes I wish I didn't smoke. I often wonder what sober life would be like. I often hear about how happy sober people really are. My partner is most often sober. She doesn't do many drugs, she may smoke a touch with me once a month or so but nothing special. She's almost my person designated driver most days and nights. She enjoys her wine and vodka though.

I've just never had a reason to quit smoking weed. Never really had a reason to take it up to begin with either but I've just always enjoyed it. Even when I don't experience what I did on it years ago with my high tolerance at the moment, I just enjoy the feeling. That's why I do it. But I don't think I'm any better for doing it, I'm actually more worse off if I really look at it. I always told myself that 40 years was the cut off point for drugs. After 40 I think, well from my observations (until this site) was that drugs after 40 are really noticeable and drain you physically. But many older people here still smoke their weed and do their psychs.

I've never done hard psychs. I tripped balls on synthetic weed and am unsure as to whether I should have really ever gotten out of it alive. I understand the experiences. It was remarkable albeit horrifying at the same time. But I've never had to question the unexplained just because I was fried at the time. I understand other drugs probably enhance if not make it better.

I've also done the 2-cb, but that was like a melt rather than a trip. MDMA was the same. The only danger there was if you had long hair around me, I'd play with that for hours. :D

And I know I'm offering my bias opinions about the truths behind the trips as some tell, which puts me in direct duress of the thread you're referring too. I'm not being neutral at all. :D but just because I don't agree or see it eye to eye it doesn't make me any less wrong than it makes anyone else more right.

As I final thought, I will say to all of us: Don't be a snob. It takes all kinds, everyone of us, to make things what they are.

    Don't be a drug snob.

    Don't be a money snob.

    Don't be a sex snob.

    Don't be a booze snob.

    Don't be a sanity snob.

    Don't be a politics snob.

    Don't be a food snob.

    Don't be a fitness snob.

    Don't be a music snob.

    Don't be a religious snob.

    Don't be a pet snob.

    Don't be a location snob.

    Etc., etc., etc.

This place is a place for everybody and we all have something to offer.

Irmi, I like to say, "Do what YOU do!".

Everyone does what they do because it's what they want to do. It would be crazy to think that everybody else is going to feel like they have to do what you do, in the same way you do it.

    Aerianne,

I don't do a lot of drugs, either. Can't afford to lose my farm because of it. If herbage ever legalizes here, I'll be a grower the very next day.

I slept with the same man for 17 years, so I'm pretty boring on the sex topic. I was a wild child in my younger days but that seems so long ago... well, because it was a long time ago. :)

I didn't find these forums because I was looking for drugs and sex talk. (although I do read a good bit in those topics)

I came looking for the vibes of the hippie days of my youth. Love your brothers and sisters. Change the world. Peace as a valid choice. That sort of thing.

It isn't here. It isn't anywhere. We were an amazing generation.. shining beings. So many of us became something I don't recognize. I think the world is less for the loss.

I stayed on the forums because there's always someone to talk to in the wee hours... and most times, they're open-minded.

We are all here because it fills some need we have, be it social, support or just plain fun and interaction. Maybe the fault is that sometimes we forget it is a real person on the other side of the screen living life the best they can with issues or problems we may never know about.

I come here because I enjoy "talking" with others. There are many people here who I hold in high regard and consider them to be friends. There are some I do not know as well but I also consider them to be a valuable part of the forums and maybe we will be friends at some point. :)

    Now, hugs all around! :)

Somebody light up for me and blow the smoke my way! I'm definitely planning a trip to Colorado this winter, once the work on the farm is done for the year. I'd love to see how the 'free' people are living. Can't WAIT to walk into a shop with multiple choices and edibles and .. and.. *sigh*
