Same here about my mother's aunts...but Mama called her aunts by their first name, and somehow that is what I called them by also. Nobody ever corrected me about that, and they dang sure didn't mind correcting me.

 

I searhed earlier and put the little guy back in the tree....i'll check at sundown and see what happenned

 

i have sausage, chicken fett sausage, hamburger, spicy sausage, bacon, roast beef cuts and 2 big steaks in my fridge.

i have Deja blanket that I use for anything where she sits. She was able to play with a fellow friend today and since we got home she just ZzZZZZzzz...

What is it about a tired out dog? I suppose it usually means they got tired having fun.

Late in the year for babies... But the birds around here are all mixed up too. Is that blue in the tail feathers, or a camera trick.

 

it was a goldfinch I believe....and I think it was a fledgling because it grabbed my finger pretty good......I couldn't find it so hoping it is ok....it was a fat one so he should be fine to fly soon....he was trying

Easy to tell a fledgling, their beak is narrow , more like the parents. That and a full coat of feathers&fur.


The robins this year had three broods, Crows had two. (normally 2 and one) Who knows how many the sparrows had... Haven't taken note of the other birds. All but two of the humming birds left over a week ago. The two that stayed were this year's babies. After a few days an adult female showed back up but then left again... Young ones want to stay. I'm afraid they won't know where to go, some of migration is a learned trait. The buzzards haven't figured out when or where to group for their migration.

Something is really weird...

 

I agree as the geese are already starting to leave here. It is really early for them to go now.
