ive never really heard anyone call them train bridges

never really thought about it but if its for trains we always say trestle...if for people and cars we say bridge


last month i drove over a one lane swingbridge that was originally for trains but then converted to one car lane...its the only way on and off that island (except for the ferry on the other side)

i have protested the title change long enough......been on a hunger strike for several days and no one seemed to notice

someone from the far away past called just now......40 years since we saw each other.....we werent great friends back then but lived a block from each other....our brothers are friends and recently reaquainted because they all discovered on facebook that we all lived near each other....

anyway buddy called and wants to visit next week and just picked up some affy hash that supposedely is the real mcoy as opposed to the standard oil-pressed crap thats been around for those same 40 years

so thats someting to look forward too

Though it has not been 40 for me, a old girl friend called me the other day as she has been in hawaii for 8 years? i think..., was good to talk to her. I asked her for some contacts as i lost them over the years and was able to connect with others. She might move back to the state next year... we see if it happens..

This girl I know who moved to Hawaii we called yellO for many reasons... tiny blonde girl with the whitest skin you'd ever see, I've seen her once since she moved and damn did her body need the vitamins from the sun.

I bought a pizza to cook at home.

I usually get one every two weeks when i get paid. They are so good.

A good friend I used to work with died a few years ago from lung cancer. Miss him much. His brother have a pizza chain. So pizza was always there. I get the pizza cause of the pay check starting weekend... but every time i buy one, part of me is thinking.. "yea don i got on again brother"

I don't have any contacts from 40 years ago.




Come to think about it, I don't have any from last year either.

 

How are the meditation sessions going, Broony?

 

i worked my butt off this week. ive cashed out $30 total, i have $10 worth of points waiting (im going to cash it out at $20 or $30 most likely) and even though its not the best use of my time, it is the most monetarily profitable. i got 8x11 feet worth of woodchips moved, weed fabric down, and woodchips back over it. the soil underneath is gorgeous. light and fluffy. but the weeds have died back significantly without sunlight. so, progress. then i ran out of daylight. tomorrow is supposed to be cool, lots of work to do.

i find that its hard to prioritize my priorities. Oz comes first of course. but beyond that,, if i do a survey (or six) i feel bad that im not doing other chores, laundry, organizing, making dinner. if i do the chores i feel bad that im not earning my meager money. and then theres the projects that i WANT to do, that can earn additional funds, or make our home-life slightly better, but i just cant justify spending time on them right now. bleh!

oh well. if i can get the yard under control with what i have in the next couple of days, we can get some additional supplies for the front's appearance. edgings or fencings or something. on credit if we spend for new, but maybe we can find something freecycle. maybe repurpose things from elsewhere in the yard.

 

They going really good.

I see her tomorrow at 10am. I go once a week.

I love it. Sometimes during the sit, it almost hurts me physically, other times it doesn't.
