Yeah, I wouldn't be laid off unless I said I was okay with it. My hands are starting to get too sore to work in a warehouse anyway, so it might be a good time to get out.

na i couldn't be a nurse.... i wouldn't be able to stick a needle into someone.

ideally i'd like to learn a trade, leaning towards an electrician, but i worry about investing the time into training only to have my arthritis get worse and make it so that i can't do it.

oh well, i'm only 25, lots of time to figure it all out.

    you'll figure it out

you could rent a place in the country and have one of those perpetual yard sales?

i hear those dudes rake in the big dough and all they do is drive around on garbage day and get free stuff and put on their lawn with a for sale sign?

Yup. I definitely would not go up there. My fear with those tall buildings is always that some gust of wind will come along and just blow me off, especially sitting close to the edge and holding a camera like that

    i hate heights... ugh.

i've been so up and down lately... i swear i have bipolar II. i've had a couple of doctors mention the possibility over the years, but no diagnosis or anything. i always thought that was a good thing, because i don't really want to be on mood stabalizers or anti-psychotics, but this shit is getting to the point now that i might just try anything that has a chance of helping.

i'm trying to cut out caffeine in the mornings to lessen my anxiety levels... but fuck, it's hard to start my morning without a cup of coffee when i've been doing it daily for years.

cutting out coffee could make a world of difference. Maybe try switching to decaf for awhile to get used to it. I tried to stop drinking coffee awhile back but I love the taste of it.

I have an interview in about 2 hours for a cooking position at Boston Pizza so I'm a little nervous about it, but I'm fairly certain I'm going to get the job. I was a cook for 3 and a half years at a Greek restaurant but it was only one restaurant so my knowledge of various menus is quite limited. I did, however, cook basically everything that was on the menu where I worked and that included everything from steaks, to pastas, to sandwiches, salads, pitas, appetizers, fish, various meats, and almost anything else one could expect to see on a typical menu.

The only thing I still have trouble cooking is steaks. I'm okay cooking them when they're on their own, but when I have multiple steaks and their all done differently (well done, rare, etc.) it can be tough because they have to go out at the same time, so the timing has to be perfect. For instance, if you have a table that wants one rare, one well done, and one medium, you'd have to wait til the well done is halfway done before you throw the medium on. Then once they're just about 4 or so minutes from being ready to serve, you throw the rare steak on since it takes very little time to cook. This example is probably relatively easy but sometimes you get tables that order a bunch of steaks and if you don't get the timing down perfect, someone's steak might be sitting in the window waiting for the other's to catch up.
