its time for a bath.. Im actually digging baths. I figures I use as much water taking a shower, so I fill tub up 1/2 way and bath then rinse shower. seems I waste less water doing that. and it feels good , like cowboy movie..

 

called the post office to find out what postage is at nowadays. the lady had to look it up. wow. i guess i hadnt realized how obsolete its getting. i think everyone should write snail mail letters once a month or more, just to keep it from going under.

Just got back from a 1 hour session in an isolation float tank.... soooooo relaxed its fucking ridiculous. I smoked two hits of hash oil with my girl in the parking lot before going in the tank, so we were fucking blitzed and I got into some really deep meditation/borderline trance state... Next time I'll prolly get the hour and a half session.. Takes me a while to get comfortable in the tank and just relax and set my mind free, so next time I might opt for the hour and a half session since it usually takes 30-40 minutes for me to truly settle in and relax and stop moving around and twitching. I've yet to achieve the true meditative state I am looking for in there, but I seem to be getting a little better/more comfortable with it each time. Smoking cannabis prior to going in (especially medical-grade concentrates) helps a LOT though

Anyone ever check out isolation tanks? highly recommended... heard about it on the JRE, and today was my third time ever using a tank. Found a place not too far from hear thats great, the people are friendly, the place is immaculate, and prices are reasonable...

Bout to get my smoke on... feel like bong hits are appropriate right now.

I've heard that ketamine in a float tank is supposed to be really nice. Then again I'm sure the float tank on its own is great. I've never tried one out but I feel like it would be pretty amazing.

Today I did a synthesis in the organic chem lab and got some really nice crystals out of it. Wonderful needle shaped crystals, really nice and pure. And mostly everyone else in the lab got chunky bits of discoloured powder.

Feels good man.

We just ended up with bromoaniline. Nothing interesting. I can't even find a picture of the crystals online. They were needles anyway, thin and beautiful.

 

i had to go in one of those salt tanks at the hospital...similar idea but not dark and enclosed...i fucking loved it....i hadnt been out of my wheelchair or back brace for nearly 6 months and they dropped me into one of those tanks...it was fucking heaven

The float tank is awesome you should check it out! I think you'd like it... At first it takes a few minutes to get comfortable (a problem I had was I the urge to move, feeling and itch or something and having to scratch it, or just generally trying to reposition myself). Once you're comfortable it is the shit though, and thats why I like to add cannabis cause it chills me out and helps me stay completely still and then I can just dive into the depths of my mind...

Me and my girl contemplated going in there rolling but decided against it... mainly cause you have to drive home, and also it is a business so there's employees you have to be face to face with at times and talk to and shit... but goddamn if I had one of those tanks in my home I would be all over it with psychedelics, they seem like they would compliment each other well that is, unless you're tripping TOO hard then you might freak out and forget you're in an isolation tank and can get out whenever.

Dude fuck yeah, I was gonna mention the tank for people with back pain/spasms/leg and knee problems etc cause an hour or two in a float tank with 1000lbs of epsom salts does wonders for your body... I've never felt so totally and thoroughly relaxed before... its as if you just got out of a nice hot bath, but 10x better. I don't really have many aches and pains but I could see how the tank might help significantly... Unfortunately it probably doesn't last too long, you'd have to do a session like once a day or something.
