So that dam needs some serious work done to it.. the city has a problem though.. Since it's a historical marker.. it needs to be fixed with tools of the time it was built.. otherwise they lose any money they get from the state for it's recognition as a historical marker.. So the other plan may just be to take it out..

 

We've lost a reservoir due to an old dam.. they drained it and took all the fish out. many of our locks and dams are in failing shape. keep on giving money to iraqs infrastructure, while america is falling apart..

Thanks to mostly mild weather conditions, the Crazy Horse mountain carvers continue progressing on blocking out the rough shape of the colossal horse’s head.

Drilling, blasting and bulldozing thin the mammoth granite mountain in steps by creating horizontal work areas called benches. Spaced 20 feet apart, the “benches” are named according to their distance from the top of the warrior’s head.

The crew is finishing the “320” bench, continues to widen the “340” and has added the “360” bench, which extends to beneath the horse’s nose.

The “360” is the 11th and final bench planned for this phase of development for the 219-foot horse’s head.

Overall, the Crazy Horse carving will be 641 feet long and 563 feet high.
