the grocery store demanded that my obviously sick mom give them her ID to scan when she tried to buy OTC cold medicine. she told them that only the cops should get to scan her ID, how fucking secure can a grocery store's computers be? she left and bought her stuff elsewhere.

Lynnbrown is right too, you dont have to put up with anything. it is a balance though. you will inevitably put up with more bullshit from someone you love. to a point anyway.

My best friend uses Rite Aid. When I've gone in with her, something about the place and the employees, especially the pharmacist, makes me cringe...its like the whole place seems almost creepy...but since its just a drugstore that isn't possible, right?

YES!!!! How wise you are in saying that when your partner views this pornography a lot to obsessively it could make the woman think that she is "not enough"...if only I looked a certain way, that would be good enough for him not want to look at that and (apparently) constantly be thinking of sex with other women. It brings into doubt everything "not just so" about oneself. Even if one doesn't have big insecurities, having a mate be a frequent viewer of totally pornographic films, one would perhaps begin to question everything about herself as a woman. Like I say, I could handle an occasional mag; but movies and especially cams is in a whole 'nother ballgame.

A man used to live across the road from me for over 10 years. We became friends and he sold "product" to me. :-D Every single time...Every. Time. you walked in over there, he had a porn movie going. I got to where I would always have a jacket or shirt and just quietly and quickly go over there a cover the tv. I didn't make a big deal to turn down the sound. He'd just laugh about it when he saw or realized what I'd done. I was also aware of the different women he took home and dated (sometimes 2 different things . I saw and realized after a fairly short time, it was something in him that made him worry/think/obsess about sex ALL the time. It wasn't that ALL the women had shortcomings, I promise you.

I liked my friend, but he was Not relationship material. History has proven that, too. Plus he has an absolutely insane babymama (who despised me - lol)...but I digress.

No, I probably (certainly) wouldn't leave just because of that. But it just seemed when you described things that it is becoming a real obsession, which is sooo not healthy. Not healthy in any way - for the relationship and even for him as a person. That he doesn't want to face this...well, I know you're smart to know nothing about that is good.

I thought of my buddy that used to live across the road. He moved about 5 years ago, went to live on his fathers 50 acre farm, rent free. He would literally do anything to help a person if he saw he could help them. seriously excellent dude...but with deep issues after you got to know him. He was single when he moved and is single now, but has been in and out of a number of dramatic relationships.

I just wish the best for you, and it seems that this man needs to see what he is doing and change his ways...or I don't see you being happy.

are you on the lease? is there a place you can go? if i were in your situation, i think i would start slowly packing my things away. staging them for a quick getaway. and then, i would get away. let him live with his porn and disregard for others, he will see how (not) far it takes him. you do not need to put up with his bullshit. there are guys out there that are much more deserving of your affection.
it is easy to stay in a relationship, it is generally comfortable, but it is not necessary. you can do better than this douchebag. do it for you, for your well being, and your future life.
