Guess I'm gonna get wet because I've gotta move all this flagstone to it's final locations before I can do anything else... Like start planning the waterfall.

 

got to sleep in, sort of. at least i didnt have to start my day before 5 am. but dogs started fussing so i got up at 6:30. i guess i can get some stuff done before the boy and hubby wake up. maybe do dishes and make pancakes. or waffles. i dunno. im still tired, i just know theres no point in laying back down.

Hubby took ambulance to hospital last night. Blood pressure was low so they started i.v. before they left here. He obviously has raging kidney infection. Urine looks like muddy water. They started him on i.v. antibiotics. CT scanned kidneys and intestines, no report yet. Blood cultures drawn. Wearing a heart monitor.

That's all I know for now.

Left the hospital not knowing anything new.

 

Location of the stepping stone path, made with the leftover or damaged flagstone, in the flower/herb garden off the back patio back changed slightly... In the middle of all that clay/rubble/shit area I found a huge lump of concrete. I mean HUGE! The leftovers from a pour got dumped there while still wet. So the path has to go over that as nothing would ever grow there and short of dynamite nothin's gonna move it..


I got about 1/3 - 1/2 of the usable area lightly tilled by hand and spread some wood ash from last winter's fires, gonna shred some leaves and add those soon'ish. That soil is going to be a work in process. I moved three more plants and planted one new Red Basil in the established area. Sill no seeds unless I go do that in a few...

 

We had some very strong wind just now. Too strong in fact I have never heard it howl as it has this last minute.

I knew I should have told the dentist that codeine doesn't do much for me. But I'm always worried that their response will be to fall back on straight up tylenol, which is no better.

 

baby boy looks good. measuring 5 lbs 3 oz. saw him practice breathing, picture perfect heart. cute little nose and lips. still head down, moves a lot. she couldnt see the cyst, he was laying against it, but hes growing fine, so she is not concerned. fluid is a little low, i havent been drinking enough water. i just dont want to. bleh. so now my menfolk are militant waterboys.
specialist wants me to have weekly non-stress tests or growth scans. i dont think my regular doctors are going to make me do that, so im not too worried. blood pressure was a little high today, and the last regular appointment i had (130/68 the other day, 131/68 today) but its pretty normal at home. higher if im sitting up, not laying down. but with the car fucked up, faced with that expense (and the fact that i kind of NEED a reliable ride to the hospital when the time comes) and the 2 hour bus ride (which is how we had to get down to get the car before my appointment today, the other appointment we had a borrowed car, still stress) and then my mom's screw ups.... i think it can be mostly blamed on stress factors. i gotta take it easy now. do not need to be pushed into early delivery.
home stretch though! im excited. still havent picked a name.

There was a deer laying in the tall grass just outside the back fence this morning... Looked like momma deer, but it was still dark-ish out side so I'm not sure. This is the same spot I saw the momma and two babies, right after the little ones were born, two years ago. She doesn't look pregnant anymore this year and she's letting the juveniles hang around again, but I haven't seen a fawn anywhere.

 

vacummed a pound of dog hair this morning.....actually vacuumed the dog too....still shedding big chunks of inter coat......might loo for clippers at the farm supply and give him a haircut
