Several months ago, some young people were at McD's and I "had" (was asked) to pose with a few of them. They told me I'd be famous, but dang if I've heard anything about it yet.

I probably would like (love) to ban a person or 2.

I do NOT look forward to giving my one outside tomcat his rabies shot...this will happen in about a month. He is fine (well, ok) when I get that needle in...but when I start to push in the juice...then he starts wanting to move and gets all tore up! Imagine...not wanting a needle full of crap shoved in your side by your human. :dizzy2:

I was told by the wonderful traveling vet (that I get the rabies shot from) that toms have tough skin, and its easier to get the needle in their side, rather than the top of their back where its the easiest to grab and go.

Since I'm just SURE (lol) everybody is terribly interested in this, I couldn't get the needle to pop in him last year, so I went and got another shot...telling the vet about it...as I got another shot, he asked me if the cat was a tom. When I said yes, he told me the shot would go in his side skin easier.

lynn you should of grabbed the cat by the ruff its neck , make it submissive and juice it right in the neck where youre pinching its fur.

 

Ori, I have always tricked Sam (outside cat) when he was eating...I just don't have enough hands to grab this fairly big (with BIG CLAWS) cat by the ruff of his neck and have that shot ready and in him.

It takes both hands for my weenie ass...one to grab up the skin (at the CORRECT area) and the other to pop in the rabies shot.

But what you describe...one of my best sister-friends that now lives in Oregon was the ONLY person that could give my Jack a rabies shot, and she would do it just like you say. It was over so quick, for her. Jack would be ready to snap but it would be done! I really tried to give him one, but I just couldn't do it like her and when I did try I couldn't get the whole shot in him...which I know I've already told ya'll. but anyway
