I can't imagine having heat stroke.

Hubby kept watching me and asking if I was still sweating, which I was but it wasn't cooling me at all. I was pouring water in and it was pouring back out but I just wasn't cooling. I was getting hotter and hotter.

I checked Mayo Clinic's site. I was at "heat exaustion".

"Heatstroke is the progression of two worsening heat-related conditions. When your body overheats, you first may develop heat cramps. If you don't cool down, you may progress to symptoms of heat exhaustion, such as heavy sweating, nausea, lightheadedness and feeling faint.

Heatstroke occurs if your body temperature continues to rise. At this point, emergency treatment is needed. In a period of hours, untreated heatstroke can cause damage to your brain, heart, kidneys and muscles. These injuries get worse the longer treatment is delayed, increasing your risk of serious complications or death."

I had to spend two days in the hospital when it happened and I honestly felt rotten for about 5 days. I could not hydrate enough so they admitted me.

I cannot imagine how that felt, Heather! I didn't come close and felt awful just from what I experienced.

I'm prone to this if I get overheated. I don't see anybody else around me that gets sick. I was wondering why.

Maybe it's the anti-depressants. Mayo Clinic lists some medications and illicit drugs that may lead to the symptoms.

"Some medications place you at a greater risk of heatstroke and other heat-related conditions because they affect your body's ability to stay hydrated and respond to heat. Be especially careful in hot weather if you take medications that narrow your blood vessels (vasoconstrictors), regulate your blood pressure by blocking adrenaline (beta blockers), rid your body of sodium and water (diuretics), or reduce psychiatric symptoms (antidepressants or antipsychotics). Stimulants for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and illegal stimulants such as amphetamines and cocaine also make you more vulnerable to heatstroke."

had my permanent crown put in today. it seems fine. one of my other teeth catches a bit now, but that should get better with time. im going to need to get some sun tomorrow. i have an old strapless dress that im wearing to the wedding saturday, with the addition of a light vest. i dont think ill have any escape artist issues, now that mommyhood deflated my nice boobs. i thought about looking for a strapless bra, but decided why bother. i dont need the support anymore, and its just asking for trouble. im not trying to impress anybody. im just trying to find me in all these broken pieces.

tonight, dishes to do, and a cake to bake. 8 years ago i was in the hospital. my organs were shutting down, my blood pressure was shooting up, and my twins were brought into this world via emergency c-section. within the first our of the next morning.
as if i didnt have enough emotional trauma and upheaval right now, now i have to try and be happy for a birthday, and a wedding, and another wedding, and im just hoping for a well-aimed meteorite.

My missus has a job interview today, she's driving there right now. She passed the initial interview to have the interview.. but they've asked her to take out her two tongue rings because the company is after a "corporate look". It's a waste management centre.. how two tongue rings you can barely see will have an adverse effect on her job performance is beyond me. The managers should be thinking to themselves if they play their cards right they may end up with a sensational blowjob or something. :D

So anyway she's taken them out and I've never known her without them so it pisses me off a little bit. She's going to buy retainers but I've told her look just take them out for this interview but day one if you get the job they go back in and IF they say anything then we'll go with the retainers.

I mean did anybody think about what the fiance might think about this???? I kinda feel like Charlie felt when Allen told his missus to get breasts reductions on two and a half men.
"take your tongue rings out" pah! Absolute nonsense.

EDIT: And she's just messaged me "I feel so naked without them in".

Orison, Multiple Sclerosis does get worse with heat according to everything I've ever heard.

I just learned that a 39 year old female friend of mine is pregnant for the second time in two months. She has MS. She wants this baby. I hope she doesn't miscarry again.

Maybe at the ball tournaments for the rest of the summer I will just keep my feet in the ice cooler. That might keep my temp down.

My sisters friend had one and had MS. The docs recomended against it. And she did get much worse because of the pregnancy. She has a great teenage son now if its any consolation to her.
