I think my 1st car was probably the ugliest car in the southeast...probably the entire eastern seaboard.

It was a yellow and black primer painted 1972 Pinto. lol Think bumblebee. But I've gotta give that poor lil car credit...I got another car while I still had that one - it was on its last legs. Well, the other car turned out to be an absolute lemon (a Lemans). That pinto would even drive with a cracked block, about 20 miles per hour, when that damn Lemans wouldn't do anything but stall out and shudder. lol

It was a stupid wreck. I was drunk. I blew a .23 on the breathalizer.

 

Was it the Pinto that exploded when you hit it from behind or was that another car?

 

...I blew a 21 in 1989 and a 23 in 1990. I like to keep stupid mistakes close together.

But in 1990 I had smoked enough cocaine that night to power most of NYC, so I didn't feel drunk whatsoever. I was absolutely stupid to drink and drive no matter what...the cops in that little town (not where I live now) pulled me 6 (SIX!) times before they were able to get me on that 2nd DUI. I moved away from there after pulling 6 weekends at the local county jail for that 2nd one.

I thank God I quit doing all that stupid crap...

 

My first car lasted 2 weeks its amazing how we drove with such primitive technology. I guess when you first get your license its that sudden freedom but now it would be a chore to drive with almost no comforts and being forced to listen to the radio.

 

I had two DUI's fairly close together too, Lynn. I didn't give up the drinking like I was stupid until I was about 30. Now, I have something drink if I want to which is maybe a few times a year.

I just wanted to be bad...oh, and to have fun with it! I did lots of different drugs also. Thankfully, I was never addicted to any of it.

 

Oh yeah, I have a drink every now and then...but absolutely positively No Driving at all after I've had even one. hell no.

A few years back I had a STOOPID (she was worse than plain stupid) neighbor. I was drinking a very stiff drink of vodka and orange juice and digging a grave for one of my cats. Her idiot ass came out there while I was digging, mind you, and asked me if there was anything she could do. (We were not close at all, just spoke to each other) I said no...not unless you know how to turn back time and fix my cat.

Her idiot ass walked away for a moment, I'm still in the process of getting my cat in the ground...she comes back and asks me if I would take her somewhere!!! I said WHAT?!? Not only am I BUSY, BURYING MY CAT, I am drinking.

I think its a little funny now; but, still...she was an idiot and I'm not driving, no matter what, if I've had a drink.

 

That pink smiley with the tongue sticking out is by far the best kind there is....ok except for the animated ones.

 

Yeah, Lynn, we have some incredibly stupid acting neighbors too but they're too afraid of me to ask me to do anything for them, lol.

 

i have my learners permit. i CAN drive just fine, i just cant trust the assholes on the road.

I had a 72 lemans also....beautiful car....I was going through a green light in Toronto and an older couple rushing to the hospital to see their injured daughter from a different accident......theyturned in front of me...........

I creamed them....their car was on its side leaning against the cemter light pole in the island

they both got rides in an ambulance to the same hospital

I walked away as usual.....

my very first car was a 72 cutlass and my second was a buick skyhalk
