sometimes there is not enough spots at the grocery......I overheard someone complaining to the manager cause they couldn't get a spot

 

This morning I took Dad to a doctor appointment and there was a blood drive bus taking 4 out of the 5 handicapped parking spaces in the parking lot. I had to drop Dad off at the entrance and park farther away. When we got out I had to leave him standing there and run for the car in the rain and come around to pick him back up. I could not believe they let the bus take up all the spaces. Most people coming to a blood drive are not going to a doctors appointment. They could have parked that bus somewhere else in the lot and not used handicapped parking.

Okay.Yes.I can understand it could be annoying.It is however within the specified dimensions.I should remember to disable it more often during general postings.There are others here with large sig pics but they don't post here in stoner chat much.I'm a bit tired of it myself so will probably change it,or as I said,disable.

I'll never park in a handicap spot, and I always say something if I see someone without a permit parking in one. If I see someone with a permit who doesn't look disabled, I shut my mouth because I have no idea if they're in pain, or maybe picking up a disabled person.

As for bathrooms, I'll use whatever is the cleanest. I try to avoid leisurely visits to public washrooms in general, so I've never had a problem.

 

i stare at the people who have handicap placards while driving a jacked up 4x4 diesel with quad or snowmachine in the box...most of them walk just fine too

actually its more of a glare than a stare

some doctors will sign anything


i also wish signature limits were smaller..600x600 is 4 times what would be allowed if this was my forum

 

i actually saw once where someone(not handicap) was in the handicap bathroom and a woman was waiting in a wheelchair for it to become available (at the airport) there was no argument or anything the woman just waited for the stall to become free

 

im giving everyone brazilian easter eggs this year.....they are neat

i think using a handicapped space is more egregios than using a handicapped bathroom stall. the bathroom stall is a bathroom first, but the sign means they can get in there, with the rails, and not get stuck. there are many times when not-handicapped people have to wait to pee. we all have to wait in line sometimes. now, if theres a line, and theres someone in a wheelchair, and the handicapped stall becomes available, i would expect any reasonable person to give up their place in line.

handicapped accessible and handicapped reserved are 2 different things.....many restaurants are assessable...doesn't mean only cripples can go in there though

 

saw a guy not handicapped use a handicapped spot one time at the library. one of the guys i used to see there all the time (not sure if he worked there or was there for the librarians or what) he parked his car directly behind the illegally parked car and left it there. i assume he was waiting for the police to come but i was gone before i saw what happened.
