I think you're saying the same thing the creationists say, if a human wasn't there to observe it, then we can't possible ever know.

We can come pretty darn close though! Between math and observable patterns in how objects behave in the 'now' we're not that bad at figuring things out. Technologies are only accelerating that. It's an exciting time to be a physicist.

Just getting a glimmer of evidence that your theory is in the right ball park is incredibly exciting. Research will keep going. People will keep trying to prove and disprove and if it turns out to be shiet, then that day will be a big day too!

Unlike the Higgs where they created the circumstances(they too had a glimmer and are trying to recreate it), astrophysicists were never sure that they'd ever catch a glimpse like this because the observable universe is still pretty freakn' far from the theoretical point of origin. Perhaps this wave will adjust where we believe that point to be.

yeah, Im getting a little fucked up with the alone feeling.. cant concentrate very well myself. to much doubt filling my mind to much emptiness, trapped feeling, high expectations but little hope for renewal anymore.. suicidal ideations gripping me a lot. the lack of appreciation and praise..

 

I feel that. Feel trapped even though I'm not trapped by anything.

I start to feel like I'm an idiot, ask myself "what's the point of trying when I'm going to fail anyway?", which makes no sense. my marks last semester were really good, 95, 90, 85. I wrote an essay for the same prof I'm writing for now and got the highest mark in the class, but I convince myself that I'm going to fuck it up, so why bother trying?

I went downstairs without my glasses on to make coffee...
I had two packs of coffee one the beans were packed in December and one the beans were packed in January ....which if course I wanted to open the ones packed in December first....I tried and tried to read the dates without my glasses and I even tried a magnifying glass and still couldn't see the dates soo I opened one up and poured it in my coffee container.....and i carry the empty bag upstairs (where i left my glasses) with me to see if opened the right one dated December......
And NO I opened the one that was dated January :coffee:

 

i use my phone to magnify stuff.. in store looking at the ingredients thru my phone..
