morning stoners.

at the library at 8am this morning, had to wait outside for a minute for them to unlock the doors. it's weird in here, only a couple other people around. hoping to get this thing done sometime before the middle of the night. i probably shouldn't procrastinate so much.

 

just saw a clip from 91 where letterman says he cant see doing a late night show for 20 years. he said something to the affect of 10 years being good. after seeing his show maybe he should have stopped after 10 years but whatever makes him happy. its not like i HAVE to tune in to watch him be unfunny.

 

I think the thing I am happiest about with the rerelease of Cosmos, is that maybe some of the 'I'm spiritual' folk will understand that science folk are not without thier passion and wonder.

Like the moon thread, just because I want some data behind 'lunacy' and such, doesn't mean I can't romanticize about the moon or that I don't 'feel' what 'enlightened' people feel. I just want some data to understand it all better. The response of course was to call all of science bullshit and it's because of answers like that, that I stopped explaining the passion and elation that comes with fully understanding something.

hecubus you may have noticed some noobs over in rt[where they belong] attempting to make the site about them and their stupid cyber lives..

posting threads about there personal lives.......trying to suck up to heavy hitter members....even attempting to incorporate the senior members into their silly noob threads

its embarrassing to the site but there is fuckall we can do about it.....I read that lunacy garbage

my main complaint to my mod friends is their inaction regarding threads in the wrong places....people in rt don't even attempt to put threads where they belong....its like they are collectively ignoring the rules of the forum

that's why I do not go to rt anymore to post....it is wasted words on their deaf ears

 

damn, and all this time i thought inflation has been around since money has been around.

 

i am so done with public school, and the related parents. little shit kids are damaging my boy. maybe do online school for him next year. 3rd grade is earlier than i wanted him to switch, but i think it will be healthier. hes too smart, and too socially inept. he doesnt understand that they are all little shits. they pick on him because hes different, hes deep, and he started his life in tragedy. it has affected him, and i am done with being a passive abuser by sending him into public school. if we can get him into a different school we will see, but i think id be happier with him home. he gets along fine with kids who are raised properly. ugh.

 

And now we know it's been around since the literal dawn of time!
It's really a huge and exciting find. All the science sites I go to, were just jizzing all over the place.

i read a couple articles about it but i am still confused with how they can say with any certainty that what they believe is fact. especially since it all happened MAYBE 14 billion years ago. maybe more maybe less. is there carbon dating for stars?

i however didnt go researching into the finer details of the findings and not sure i could understand them if i did so i prefer to go on thinking that nobody knows for sure anything that happened before they were born, let alone before the planet was formed, let alone before our sun was formed, let alone before our galaxy was formed, let alone before the universe was formed.....yeah i am a slight skeptic to any finds that dont point conclusively to facts about the universe.

more panic attacks... fuck me. i was really hoping that I was done with this shit, but I guess that was a bit too optimistic. time to see if the counsellors/therapists at the school are any good, I suppose.

I think I'm going to e-mail my professor to ask for a couple of extra days on this assignment. I'm just not handling life well right now. It is really frustrating, because I want to write this essay, and when I'm not anxious I am more than capable of doing it, but my anxiety just stops me from being able to think clearly.
