wind chimes is noise pollution ...same as cigarette smoke...if no ones around go ahead and make your noise but if people are close i think its ignorant to force noise or smoke on them


ive been running searches every day for a certain model car...its pretty interesting ..theres this one car down south that the lady insisted was awd but when i asked for first five numbers of vin to prove it she got all hostile..she was asking $600 (december)....so later on same car was listed for sale in a town 300km away....car needed head gaskets but new guy says he changed them and now price was $1500 (january) and it was listed as a fwd not an awd .............so the feb price was down to $1000 obo but now it says head gaskets were replaced but car still steams .......and now he's asking $2000 but doesnt mention any steaming.....people are weird man...gotta be careful what you buy

jack hammer is the same..its a tool that is needed...doesnt make steady noise all the time..just when someones using it

jackhammer woke me up yesterday...someone up the street had broken water pipes

 

it depends on the chimes, the bamboo/ wooden ones are pleasant to me, but most metal ones set my teeth on edge. human-generated noise is usually noise pollution on some level. chainsaw, lawnmower, vehicles, air compressors, an off-kilter roof vent thingy, windchimes. its objective. i have lived in places where the natural sounds are surrounded by silence.

 

i dont have anyone living that close around me to care about noise.. not like the nogwasher is going to call the cops on me..

windchimes are the worst.....cant tell you how many I have ripped down over the years.........

my mom would get mad at me because I would go out on the deck at 3 am and wrap them around each other so they would stop chiming and I could go to sleep

I have wind chimes and I happen to find it soothing. When it is really windy though I do tie them at night so that my neighbours can sleep.

Rolling they still make fiorinal as it is what I take for migraines.

 

i get noises here that would make californians shit their pants

plenty of hard rock mines here ..sometimes the blasts are big enough to make pictures fall....people who live here are used to it but im sure someone from an earthquake area would completely freak out

 

when the power plant releases steam, its very loud.. like tornado loud.

 

yeah my brothers place is near a steel plant ....that steam can make ridiculous explosion noise
