Sleep is weird like that sometimes. I went to bed completely relaxed last night, woke up an anxious mess this morning... stomach all clenched up, couldn't eat, couldn't think. Sometimes I'll go to bed anxious and wake up calm and relaxed. I don't get it, and have stopped trying to predict it.

Quite possible. I tend to not remember my dreams as often since I smoke weed before bed most nights.

    great mark eggy...well done

I cant believe y'all don't know this....dogs don't like delivery dudes because of the myriad of scents they carry...it is confusing to a dog to all of sudden smell 200 different people but only see one so they become distrustful immediately

at least that makes sense to me....I think I saw it on the uncle bobby show

These dogs bark at everybody... It's their job. Rural homes need guard dogs.

I'm so annoyed. My car battery is dead again. I just replaced it like 8 months ago and today it won't start. I have terrible luck with battery's in the last year or so. I never had a car go dead before that and this is the 4th time in a year. The first few times they said the battery terminals were dirty. At least I was at home.

I was wondering if it was that. The car has 48k miles, seems kind of early for it and my dash won't light up. Same thing it was doing with the battery before. I have a warrenty on the battery at least.

Lots of frozen and broken water pipes this winter. Water main breaks flooding/freezing city streets and lots of pipes broken in homes and buildings. One of my friends is a professor at the university. Her department is in the oldest building on campus and in January the sprinkler pipes above her office burst filling that building with about 50,000 gallons of water. Who knows when that building will be usable again.

Orison: I like that the water department was housed in that building.

just wanted to pop in and say im alive. went grocery shopping last night. got asparagus, i cant wait for mine to be productive. and chicken, thank goodness. ever since i got off the pill i cant handle the smell of cheap meat. cheap chicken and beef are the worst, but im noticing it with all the mainstream meat from the regular grocery store. i wont buy it full price from sprouts, but im at a point where id rather not eat meat than eat poor quality meat. my nose knows. and no, folks, im not pregnant. this has been ongoing for more than a year, but the aversion is similar in feeling. i couldnt even make chicken stock last week.
one more reason i look forward to having livestock. i need to get some bunny cages.

I know, it's getting horrible. I can't remember the last time I had decent chicken.

we have a farmers market grocery store here. the chicken is so flavorful, tastes so chickeny, that one breast makes a meal for 3+ leftovers. they make their own chicken sausages too. i usually hate ground poultry, but their stuff is so good. we got some parmesean and some apple sausages, both chicken. got rabbit there a few weeks ago on sale (it came out delicious) and they also sell boar, and kangaroo, and emu, among other things. elk and bison are fairly common to find in colorado, but kangaroo not so much.
i need to get a meat grinder attachment for my kitchenaid. i think i can save money by making my own ground beef. they sell ground sirloin, and its fantastic, but even on sale is not really reasonable, but i dont need burger meat to be all sirloin. i can break down other cuts, as long as the meat is good.

do you have any farmers market places near you? might be worth a shot to find out.
