i made a stew-ish dinner last week. seared to meat, took it out to cut it up. added onions, garlic and potatoes, then mixed vegetables (very very lazy stew) added the cut up meat back in, added some beef broth (not "full" strength) and seasonings, and let it simmer for a little while.

i have to use pork tonight, it was sale meat.

 

I have a vegetarian for a gf,, Im fucking starving..

 

is that when its not really a stew, its just stewish

I had to replace the metal pipe that goes from this 1970's wood fireplace to the brick wall. its only 2 pieces, but getting those two parts together then putting it into the wall and fireplace is the biggest fucking pain. you would think this would be easy but its taking me hours..

 

broony, don't you rent? shouldn't that be the landlord's responsibility?

 

heeeyy guys. had the first choir concert of the year. unfortunately it was randomly dispursed through the church services. I'm respectful of it all of course but I always feel awkward having to sit through it

 

I dislike having to be in a church... only happens now for weddings and funerals really, and not most weddings.

 

Yes I rent and yes she should do it. Because of how she is its not that big of a deal to do it myself.. It would take weeks to get done if she were to do it. The parts were cheap as I got a discount. Plus doing minor repairs helps my creditability to living here. Especially after letting that crazy mushroom girl in here over that month n half..

not sure if Im cold, or having ms tremors..

 

sometimes I don't realize that I'm sick for a couple of days because I assume that it is just RA stuff. for a week now I've been feeling really ill in the evenings, and I'm still not sure if I have a cold or not.

I have electric blankets and bed warmers. takes a lot just to get outa bed once in there..
Im ready for hibernation now..

 

i miss my waterbed...damn that thing was always so nice and warm

 

i rarely do a proper low, slow cooked stew. im too impatient. if i come up with a recipe, i say its similar to ____. i used a steak to make the one last week. it was sale meat too, it needed to be cooked, and i didnt feel like eating steak. so i made it stewish.

this is why when my kid asks what for dinner, i give him the same obnoxious answer my parents gave me.
"whats for dinner?"
_____"food."
"what kind of food?"
_____"hot/good/edible food."

sometimes i just tell him whats in it. i dont have names for my recipes. half-asserole is a fun answer too

 

ask my mom whats for dinner and the answer is always horse shit and jelly beans

 

what happened to it?
