DMX moved to this small town near where I live a few years ago. I have no idea why. When I was looking around for rental houses I wouldn't look anywhere near this town and I'm just a regular person lol. But anywho, my friend's dad ran into him a few days ago and asked him to go to their family BBQ that night and DMX actually accepted the invite and hung out at their BBQ all night. There's all kinds of stories floating around town about what a nice guy he is. Cuba Gooding JR filmed a movie in my town several years ago and ended up hanging out at the same bar as my sister one night. He had his manager come up to my sister and her friend and asked them to play pool with Cuba. They played pool all night and he was super nice to them. The next night he actually had his manager ask around the bar until he found someone that knew my sister and called them personally to ask them to come play pool again. Afterwards they all went back to his hotel to drink and get in the hotel hot tub. He ended up calling my sister a **** because she wouldn't get naked in the hot tub or have sex with him. He was married at the time too lol. So I guess he's a nice celeb unless someone refuses to have sex with him.
Guitarist Mike Pinera of Cactus fame was beyond cool. I saw him playing in a band called the Rock and Roll Allstars a few years back. They were sitting at a table autographing the CD they were selling. I was walking through the line and got up to Pinera who was taping every fan who stopped for his autograph. I asked him if he was in Cactus and he got a smile on his face and said yes. I then told him I saw him back in 1974 with Ted Nugent, then his smile got huge. He asked me if that was the tour called the Guitar Battle of the Decade, I said yes, then he really got a big smile on his face. We actually had a bit of a conversation about it. Apparently we both made each others day.
I spent an afternoon hanging out on the beach in Santa Barbara with David Crosby. Santa Barbara is where I went to school, and where he's originally from. This was after The Byrds but before CSN became huge stars. He was cute and sweet and we had a lovely time. We kept in touch for a while after that, but eventually lost contact.
I saw CSN in concert about 3 yrs ago in uk.. David is still cute.. he was so humorously humble about the 'we love you, David' adulation.. they were wonderful..
I'm sure someone has mentioned this in 5 pages but Justin Beiber... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2GmS4SGqpU
justin bieber, he beat up a 12 year old, through a fit over his mom putting a picture of him on her book, and blew up at a radio host over a yo momma joke, and talks about one direction saying "their good kids" ...aren't they older then him
I can't stand that little punk! He pushed a fan with a video camera for no reason! Pretentious snot! Doesn't deserve his fame or cash!
I only know if I was Bieber and would happen to stumble on this site I would laugh my ass off seeing these rebellious anti establishment people being busy with criticizing me and my performance.
I wasn't criticizing his performance. I didn't even mention the disaster he calls "music." I was just talking about how he's full of himself and think he's gods gift to women, when he looks 13 years old, and he's a total asshole! I talk enough about government and disestablishmentarianism. But as a New Yorker, it really pisses me off that he couldn't wait for one other person to use the bathroom before he pissed in a mop bucket! Then he's got the nerve to say "thats the cool spot to piss," mother fucker- NY is so populated, the only "cool" spot to piss is a bathroom. He should feel lucky he's got all that money and fame, but it's all a bother to him! I think he's a bitch boy, and if I caught his ass pulling that shit in NYC, i'd give him the ass whooping he's never gotten from his parents!
You caring about Biebers looks, can't you see how pointless that looks to certain people (me) on here, and how he would laugh in your face about it. I understand he is annoying but even talking pointless shit about him in public enforces the commercial brand he is.
Not surprised. Then again I'd probably be a douche bag too if my career as a comedian wound up in the shitter
Especially if everyone knows you from that comedian career and expects you to be funny and in a good mood all the time. You can only dissappoint in real life then
yeah, I don't know any famous comedians but I know a couple that do the local comedy circuit and they're quite cynical and negative much of the time. They draw their comedy from that dark place as I assume many comedians do.
I think it's really just about the person themselves. I don't know what it's like to live the life of a celebrity, we are on the outside looking in, and we think having all that fame and money makes life a synch, but to me it looks stressful. 1. Handlers telling you to go here or there every moment of your life 2. Constant worries about paparazzi snapping pictures of you at inappropriate times 3. Dealing with hate mail and death threats I'd imagine it eats at you and can make the majority of celebrities cynical or abrasive to the public after a while because you don't know who to trust.
I used to work in a gourmet market and got meet a lot of celebrities that shopped there. Most of them were really cool and down earth people.
