Casual Family Nudity

Back in the 60s my first wife and I lived as nudists at home, later when we had two little Daughters it was the same but as the girls grew older I found myself wanting to wear underwear, it just didn't seem right for me, I grew up in a very straight laced family.

Fast forward 30+ years and my third wife, I used to get around the house naked in summertime, my wife always wore underpants and a see through nighty thing.

My darling passed away in 2020, since then I get around in the nude and actually hate clothes, the freedom of nakedness it truly beautiful.

The way I see things is we are the only one of God's animals that wears clothes, if Eve had not have gone fruit picking life could have been a whole lot more fun

 

We were similar when the kids were young, but when my youngest was around 5 or so, we figured that her friends would raise some questions,making my daughter’s life uncomfortable. So we became more dressed rather than less-dressed, still don’t know if we made the right decision….

 

Give him time to hit 18, 19 or so, things will probably change….

 

I think a lot of people want to live nude at home but are worried their family members will have negative feelings about it. But those ideas really come from societal pressure to conform to a "normal" family who wears clothes. Families should talk about it together. If they're all okay with trying it, they should go for it without regrets. I'm the admin at Nudist Nation, a social network that is friendly for families and younger people. We have a number of couples and families who belong to our own private group for family nudists. Our group members all believe in families living nude together.

 

I was born in the early 70's. My parents divorced when I was little and grew up living with my mom and younger sister. Nudity was never a big deal in our house. It was normal for me to see my mother and sister undressed briefly while changing clothes or getting out of the shower. When using the family pool, all three of us preferred to swim naked. Really, who likes the feeling of wearing a wet swimsuit? As I was told by my mother, I hated wearing clothes as a small child and she never made a big deal out of it. My memory only goes back to about four years old and I remember only putting on clothes in the house when it was either too cold or when we had company over. As time went on, this never changed. My mother's and sister's normal attire around the house was usually just a long tee shirt or a tee shirt and panties, but there was never any awkwardness about us seeing each other naked at any time. There was never anything sexual about being naked in front of each other, we're family. My entire time living at home with them I rarely ever wore clothes at all. If my sister had friends over, I would either get dressed while they were there or just stay in my room. When my best friend would come over to play, he ran around as naked as I did. My mother and sister would dress more modestly whenever he was over the house. I've noticed that there is a lot of talk on this thread about erections. They're just a natural part of being a male. I was never made to feel uncomfortable when they happened. Our mother explained to us that it was normal for boys to get them and that my parts were working as intended. We learned about the birds and the bees at home from our mother instead of on the playground from our friends. Unlike most children who grow up in homes that aren't so open about nudity, we didn't have the same curiosity about the opposite sex that most of our friends did. I think that this helped us not rush into having sex as early as a lot of other kids did. There was no topic that we couldn't talk with our mother or each other about. When I started to have wet dreams, she sat both of us down and taught us about sex and masturbation. We never felt any shame discussing any topic. We were told that it was important to wait to share our bodies with someone that we loved when we were older, that masturbation was normal and healthy, and that it was something that we should explore in the privacy of our own rooms with the door closed. I believe that I was lucky to grow up this way. Now that I'm older, my wife and I are at-home nudists. We weren't able to have any children, but if we could have, we would have raised them the same way.

Good to hear success stories. There is just way too much weird-ism in our society. Your replay of your childhood is an example people can learn from, make it a positive experience. I didn't experience that sort of in depth explanations.... ever. Raised along with 3 brothers, dad was in the Navy and out to sea during much of that time I was growing up. My mom, I suppose, had enough on her hands, that she either chose to be ill equipped to answer boy questions or simply didn't wish to be bothered.....

Hello, I guess this would be a nice thread to introduce myself. I'm from an hispanic country, and even though I speak english I never dared to delve into the english speaking community of online nudists. The reason I finally did, well, that would be off-topic. Ill answer that if somebody helped me find a proper thread on this section (Which is the only section I joined the forum for).


Going back to main topic.While I'm not a nudist since birth, I indeed started very young, single digit aged, by virtue of my own mother. So she's the family member I started nudism with. Casual family nudity might be selling it short. It is how I started, but now we expanded our circle. I'm now 34 and mother of two. And when I was still a girl, my mom brought my grandmother, her mother, to live with us after divorcing grandfather. So that's our core family of nudists. We were always nude at the intimacy of home and of course I've been raising my daughters that way as well. My life of way more complicated than that but that's the main thing I need to share for an introduction! Glad to meet you all.
