Canoeing (If thats even how you spell it)

    Canoeing is very popular in Michigan. It's popular in the Midwest, in general. MI and the upper Midwest seem to have very clear water.

    Your going to love it. One of the best things is being able to carry heavy stuff. Back packing is fun too but having a canoe just opens up lot's kool stuff since you can carry a cooler.
    Also you can drag a bottle wine in the water to chill it for later.
    Hanging out on a river is really sweet. Also always make sure your trip is well planned out with map and the level of rapids and what's going on weather wise.
    I was on a trip where we lost a person from being on a river that was way too high.

    I've that kayak paddles wrok quite well for canoing. Ya don't have to keep swithcing sides!

    A sit-on-top kayak is similar to a canoe, but one still paddles with a double bladed paddle.
