go to a second hand store and buy a fuckin hotplate and do it in your back yard......even a new hotplate is only 20 bucks...a coleman stove for camping also works.... the thermos will not work

but to answer the OP - this probably won't work that well. you're going to get way higher if you just smoke that gram over a couple hours. i don't like the cannabutter taste, but it's pretty manageable as long as you aren't trying to eat spoonfuls of butter.
I was going to suggest a hot plate. As long as you can get it the right temp. I don't know. I've never used a hot plate. I've definitely gotten more stoned off of edibles for longer than any other high I've had from weed.
Hms, well i don't have a hotplate right now, and today's the perfect day to do it because everyone's gone until 2:30pm, it's 7:40 am right now. But i realized i don't even have actual butter... we have those frozen margarin sticks that look like butter, made from 100% vegitable oil, would that work? Because of the oils... If not, what else could i make? I'm just desperate for some edibles here lol, should i just make a big batch of.... oil? what would i do with that though... (i barely know how to cook in the first place lol)
i dont bother with butter....it is a waste of butter...i powder up the very dry weed into dust and just mix it into a brownie recipe...or oatmeal cookie recipe...oatmeal hides the taste and texture better and this honey slides 1gram into dry cold frying pan...turn on medium heat and heat until you see the first wisp of smoke remove from heat and add enough butter and honey for 1 slice if toast put back onto heat and keep heating till all melted and starts to smoke again...dont burn it... remove and apply to a slice of toast enjoy buzz in 15 minutes...lasts hours
^ that actually sounds pretty awesome, does it work good? I'd try that if it weren't for the smell, maybe next time i'm home alone for a weekend i'll give it a shot. But anyways, i tried my butter method... i think it was a fail, turns out somebody took the thermos lol so i didn't get nearly enough heat as i was hoping... I put some margarine (it's all we had, but i checked online and a few people said it still worked, plus i checked the fat contents and it had a decent amount) in the microwave for about 1 minute and 30 seconds until it was bubbling, as long as i could before it would burn, I then mixed it in with my weed that was in a tupperware container, then i added a little bit of heated olive oil because i thought that might help a bit, i then closed the tupperware container and let it sit in my room for a bit until it cooled off, once it cooled off i stuck it in the microwave for 30 seconds (i wanted to do it longer, but the lid kept popping off lol, and i didn't want to do it without the lid because of the smell) so i then brought it back to my room, waited until it cooled off again, then i went and put it back in the microwave for another 30 seconds Once it cooled off again, i strained it threw some coffee filters, it was all i had. I'm now done, and have it in a different clean tupperware container, it is now in the freezer (hoping this will thicken it up faster than the fridge) but i'm worried it wont harden properly because of the olive oil in there...? I have my doubts that this will work... i don't think there was enough heat, plus i used margarine, and i don't think i went threw the process long enough... If it doesn't work no big deal, like i said i made an extremely small batch, probably just 3-4 spoon fulls of 'butter' The color is a darkish urine-like yellow, with a hint of green... that may be a good sign? But then again, all melted butter is yellowish.. so i dunno, we'll see what happens!
It's frozen now, it froze in the freezer a lot quicker than i thought it would... it's still the same color, but i put it in the fridge now... Just a questions - does it have to be stored in the fridge or can i keep it in my room? we usually leave our tub of margarine sitting out on the counter, so i don't think it needs to be refrigerated, does it?
I think you should wait till you have the time to do it the right way. I'm afraid that you wasted whatever herb you used, because you didn't get anywhere near the temp or duration needed.
Yeah, it might have gone to waste.. soon as the butter returned to room tempt. it ended up turning back into a liquid... ohwell, i might try it out anyways... i doubt it'll do anything, maybe a buzz if i'm lucky
What if i got some chocolate, melted it, then mixed the butter in with it? Just thought of that... dunno how over-powering the butter would taste with the chocolate though lol
Yeah that's probably best, i'll have it tomorrow for breakfast... Just watch it end up fucking me up as i get to school i doubt it'll work, only reason i'm doing it tomorrow morning lol, i'll be screwed if it ends up actually working though...
