they dont sell camels here in Canada. Neither do they sell Marlboros, nor Newports, no anything. Just weird things.

I used to work in a smoke shop, and we sold Camels there. No one bought em.

And yeah, Canadian cigarettes have shorter filters.

And Dumaurier is the way to go... best tasting one out there. The two girls I work with at my office smoke dumaurier too

camels taste funky. Djarums are my (having quit) smoke of choice, because I don't rinse though a clove like I do regular cigarette. And they are only enjoyable occasionally, so I dont over do it.

the exports ( dunno why i keep on typing newports) dont really have shorter filters, the actual length of the cigarette is just shorter, and i was looking at one today, and noticed they are MUCH more tightly packed than light cigs, and even more tight than belmonts

its been a while since i've been a regular smoker of cigarettes, but i used to smoke like a chimney. i always thought player's lights were pretty good, but most of my favorite cigs came from europe. anything dunhill was usually pretty good, but i didnt prefer for the draw on the dunhill internationals. still a great taste, though.

i also liked gauloise, camel milds (only sold in europe to my knowledge), and gitanes

as for american, i like nat sherman's new york cut, pall mall, lucky strike, and sometimes i would smoke camel filters, unfiltered camels, american spirits of assorted varieties, any camel turkish blend, and marlboro blend 27....sometimes winston

i always switched it up, honestly. i had temporary favorites, but i liked variety, and still do with most things.

my most long term of my varied favorites included dunhill, camel turkish gold and turkish royal, and pall malls.

i dont like many menthols, but there are a few that i liked ok after a while. it took forever to learn to like them though.

but i do like cloves. partial to sampoerna xtra

yes they do. or at least they did last time i was there, in the summer of 04 (it HAS been a while)

but i bought a pack of marlboros in stratford when i went. came in a "normal" american-style kingsize pack but complete with the half-box canadian warning label. i think it was the photo of oral cancer. but it might have been the broken cigarette witht the warning about it leading to impotence. i thought all the warning labels were pretty funny, to be honest

lol. the labels. i have a package with the teeth right now.

that, the lung and the brain are the worst.

When i worked in the smoke shop, people would ask for "players light regular, no teeth or lungs please" or what have you. One woman always asked for the package with the little boys on it.

If your looking for a good quality smoke i would recommend american spirits also. They are additive free and burn longer then any other cigarette i've tried. A bit more pricey though! I've tried canadian du mariers and found them quite pleasant too. Didn't really think too much of the mexican made ones though.

Maybe they do in some places, but in regular convenience stores I can never find any cigs I know.
I'll try the DuMarier ones, once the pack I have is over, which will probably be a super long time.

wierd....i mean, i got them in a convenience store in stratford by the hotel, but i don't remember buying them the rest of the week, but i know i had to have somewhere though because i was there for 5 days and there is no way a pack lasted me five days....more like one day or a day and a half if i was lucky

anyway, thats just the only time i remember buying cigarettes, and i think i smoked players after that the rest of the time....maybe stratford is an exception, but i really wouldnt know.

either way cigarettes are really kinda gross. i love good cigars though.

so what is the DR like? i've never been there and honestly know very little about it other than that is is the country of origin for some of the worlds finest cigars....i would like to hear about what it is like....pictures i've seen are gorgeous

What is DR like? Like one big party. Time doesnt exist and everything fun related is always easy. No matter what is going on, people will always ALWAYS get together with their friends, get drunk, get high or whatever is it that people do. People are so warm, happy and friendly that anywhere you go, you feel like you belong.
Strangers will always smile at you and help you, the people who you meet one day will treat you like you are their long time friend and welcome you into the group, seriously everyone is like one big family, but everyone is crazy. The sun is always shining, when it rains, it's big drops of fun. People always want you to be super comfortable and feel "en confianza" (which would be in confidence). what else? drugs are really cheap, weed is really bad, cocaine is really good. People are not greedy at all with their drugs, that is if they like you :)
You can drink in the streets, hey you can even drink and drive (not that Im advising anyone to do that).
I dont know.. what else you want to know? I can say a bunch of bad things too, but I decided to be positive.
