That is definitely quite I gun, but in the modern world one could probably do a lot more damage with a computer. Just corrupting the proper bytes could cripple the entire state, and put Big Brother back in his place.

Personally, I don't see a return of the 60s. It was a period resulting from the issues of the time, and regardless of any modern similarities there are some major differences today. Most notably the increase in dependence upon the state; won't to bite the hand that feeds.

Still I do see trends that could result in some sort of revolution, or cultural split. It is my prediction that individuals will slowly grow sick of the system that their lives have become entangled in, and retreat from the modern society.

First, I completely agree with the whole "I wish I lived in the '60s and '70s" Today sucks. Everyone is so mean-spirited. I'm glad that there are still actually people who care for one another still. For me the '60s and '70s were just decades of change. If the world could change like that for the better then that would be really groovy. The world is still changing today, but I don't believe that the people and the fashion will be the same.

based on how things are going right now, i'd say no. the 60's were a revolution weren't they? they introduced a second choice, people could now choose to conform or not to conform. eventually i think the majority of people chose not to conform, whether obviously or subtely. i mean, you can see the difference between the 50's and the 70's scene can't you? the 60's changed it!
i think we can have another revolutionary decade, if we find something that's wrong with today's lifestyle, and think that enough people would agree that it's wrong, then changes could happen. the 60's achieved what it wanted/needed to achieve at that time, and it's done. we should focus on what we need to achieve in our next big decade. why should hippies stop at the 60's? it wouldn't make sense to stop where we started, let's continue forward

The 60's like we know it was like wont happen another time unless we make it, by bringing it back.

Man, why dont we do somthing we sit here and talk about all the stuff happening and what we could do, but in the end were all just sitting here. I'm tired of just talking lets get off of our a$$*$ and do somthing. theres so many young people here that know what to do and it will be a lot of hard work , but you can tell everyone wants it so bad. If all of us did somthing we would get known and others would join, i can gaurantee it.

I know that kind of seems like a bunch of random thoughts, but if anyone reading this agrees, please post back. we need to do somthing; anything, please. Huge things can come from small packages.

i agree we need to start applying are knowledge and work together to bring about change but before we do that we need to come up with some solid ideas of what we can do to bring about a new revolution.

all of us that keep talking about doing something but not acting on it lets get together and make things happen.

Well, I'll definitely post back! I also agree with you....as the Pope said you can't achive great things without much work! And if we want love, peace and freedome instead of warms we simply have to do something about it!

    I'm happy people replied :)

Okay so everyone has agreed that we need to do somthing, so why not start. Like PEACEFUL CHAOS said we need to get some solid ideas so we could start this. Anyone have any ideas? We need to find somthing that all can relate to not just Activists, Hippies or any other stereotype.

Another thing that might help is starting a website so that we could organize our thoughts better, just a suggestion though I'm not trying to take over and boss people around.

    Peace,
    Malandoris

I really want to help a lot, but I dont feel comfortable coming up with a bunch of ideas and asking people to do things to get this started; unless i get the OK from people that they wont take it as me trying to take control and make this mine. We should start a council of sorts, or we can call it an "Equal Oppurtunity Board of Directors". It makes it sound more fair. Let me know what you guys think.
