Can anyone give me one piece of SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN evidence that dread wax fails?

    You sound neurotic.

Why does your opinion matter to anyone but yourself?

Some people say dreadlocks, particularly on caucasion people look "silly" it's there opinion, why do you attempt o state it as fact?

I just quoted what you said, I could care less if in other posts you had said other things that would be hypocritical of your "looking cool" remark, if you chose hypocricy so be it.

To use wax on your dreadlocks helps to condiotion them and most are scented, even those that are not scented have no smell of there own, if you choose to spend your time in smokey bars next to piles of pig shit or any other unsavory places it will not matter if you have wax in your hair or not, thats what hygiene is for.

I had dreads for over 5 years after a shower about every four days I would shampoo my hair and reapply wax onto them to keep them from drying out and having the ends become to dry.

Never had I awoken with a greesy or "waxy" pillow, in short you are full of shit witht hat previous remark or have just been witnessinjg morons dump handfulls of wax unto there heads.

It was a lame insult, for what purpose it was added to your post I have no idea.

Just call's them like I see's them, I never said I didn't like you, I just think your fool of shit. :D

    Fair enough.

    Fair enough.

That is why you are superficial, in case you were wondering.

I missed that, long term damage?

    Cancer?

    Lie.

This thread has taken a turn for weirdness.... I don't see why everyone takes this thread so personally!

If wax has worked for you, cool! I'm glad you like your dreads in that style, and if its worked for you for X amount of time, you've done something right, so don't change it

If wax hasn't worked for you, thats cool aswell.... Same applies..... if you didn't use wax and you've enjoyed watching your dreads mature over the months and years that's cool

Dreads come in as many flavours as ice cream.... everyone has different dreads. Go down your own personal route to get the dreads you want, and why should anyone tell you differently?
Unless of course your dreads are moldy and full of shit xD But as of yet I havn't really seen any reason why waxed (except in the case of using too much... just enough and I see no reason why they cant be washed) or unwaxed dreads cannot be washed and cleaned

Just my 2 cents really, until I see real scientific evidence I don't think i'll be changing these opinions (and I mean real scientific evidence xD )

i personally dont wax, but i dont give a shit if someone else does, but i have a cool idea, call the "Myth Busters" they will do the science of wax vs no wax, and it will be on tv for all of us to see.

They totally should do that on Myth Busters... but it would be too long of an experiment...

Also, doesn't every thread always take a turn for the weird? That's why I like it here.

I never said I'm pro wax or not (but if it matters that much I personally don't use it). All I'm saying is that there is no real scientific evidence. We have personal accounts (but then so does pro wax), and we have some information that string knots in a box, and that wax melts at a certain temperature

But none of this information directly relates to waxing dreads in my opinion... You can apply the information but then in real life shit happens differently, know what I'm saying?
