Can Acid make you go crazy For The Rest Of You Life?

unfortunately when i started, i started too heavy and too often. unfortunately when i least expect it, sometimes i have "flashbacks" if you will. i think it's a silly word to express it, but what i'm trying to say is that occasionally i trip at will. it's lessened since i've stopped using it, but maybe once a week now for about 30 seconds or so.

i can live with that. it only taught me that it's just not my kind of thing. i know people that trip day in and day out. every day. i dont see how they do it.

 

yeah but maybe NOT. maybe acid just fucks with ur brain, and maybe some people arent good at tolerating their brain being fucked with. Maybe. Maybe it doesnt mean that something is wrong with them.

Something is wrong with BOB because he was not able to enjoy or appreciate the most potent visual psychedelic known to man. lol "other problems" everyone has other problems. Pychadelics are like russian rullette. or like a gamble. you never know what ur going to get. thats what i think.

i believe that if people are fucked up in the head and have a lot of "other problems" and they use psychadelics there is a chance they might not b that fucked up after the experience, what does this mean?

 

of course its possiable acid has made all of us crazy and changed all of our lifes after doing it you will never be the same ive done it twice and both times were crazy i can tell im different now. at times i feel that im still in the trip and it can be overwelming and scary but i think if you get something like this its trying to tell you something. if you get stuck in a trip for your entire life your there for a reason not just because thats what it did to you. acid dose that for a reason acid is like a liveing thing it interacts with everybodys life in different ways. it changes you in every way thats not right. the real challenge is getting to a point where you dont need acid

 

I never thought any of my friends would be stupid enough to believe that story but today one of my friends who has taken lsd quite a few times over the years told me, and he truly believed it, that his friends cousin was in a mental institution thinking that he was a glass of orange juice.... i couldnt believe that this story is still going round even with people who have used lsd a fair bit.

 

Same. I know of at least 4 people who claim to either know this person, or knew someone who knew this person. Amazing how widespread a lie can get.

i never did acid because i was too pussy and scared...but i did everything else

smoked weed
ate weed
all types of pills (percocets, ritalin, upppers/downers)
Cocaine
smoked cocaine on weed.. (I never smoked crack or shot herion)
sniffed herion
PCP
Exstasy

and i gotta say...out of all those drugs....i never had any problems i always felt normal afterwards except for the effects of PCP...

I am sure weed and some other things changed my perspective on things, but its a change you let happen and adjust too and know you are changing and accept your new perspectives or opinions on life or things...its nothing u couldnt stop if u wanted to...

but PCP...

i would smoke it one day...and u could feel it in ur body for an entire weed...like u could feel it in ur blood or something...if u smoked weed even 5 or 6 days later...u felt high on PCP...it was weird like that...

and u would tottally forget things (blackout) and then do them again bceause u forgot u did them...anyway it was the best high ive ever had in my life and i never had any bad time on it xcept for once when i did coke and pcp and i didnt eat and i just thought i was a ghost..like icould put my hand thru cars and it was like a hole nother dimension u were in...like u were in the 4th deminsion of a 3demensional world and rules that apply to the 3rd demensional world didnt apply to you lol...

anyway pcp is funny like that...if u smoke a little, you get high, if u smoke a lot...you TRIP...the trip is kinda like acid and being drunk at the same time...

anyway on pcp i wuold think really hard...and i messed up my cognition, the way ur brain works and it effected me for life..now i dont kno wat happened...but i kno something ahppened on pcp , something i lost...something ur supposed to expeirence growing up and i never did...

maybe there is nothing, but i still feel like this and that in it self is still evidence pcp did something to me for life...soemthing i can never get back..i just moved on and u forget and its like it never happened and i am sure happens for the same time with LSD....

u lose something and u go odd for a while and then eventually u forget about it and u live ur life like it never happened...

thats my best guestimate of what any drug can do to you...time heals everything


and if u take a garbage addict, who did herion/pcp/crack/acid...they hole lives, 20 years...now they are 35 or so and look horrible...

they dont touch any drugs every again and live a healthy live and by the time they are 45 or 55 or even 65 years old...they are going to be like i said before...

And...LSD didn't take anything from me except ego. I feel like I've been given a shiny, glowing dark purple box behind my eyes.

 

you bet it can!! I have two friends now who have entered the Mental Institution. One was simply from doing 20 hits of lsd in one sitting, and the other was from lsd along with a combination of other mind altering drugs over a period of time.

But yeah, 20 hits and he never came out. He has to take special medication everyday or else he'll see shit, things will talk to him - it puts him right back into his trip. Good or bad.

Just don't be dumb. 20 hits of acid is to much. I usually do 1-3 and I always have a good time. Why push the limits when it comes to your sanity?

this thread makes me sick, of course there's dangers of Lucy but for those who can reassure them selves that they are on a drug whilst having a bad trip, you can quickly come out of one... having shit like you can go insane in the back of your mind while tripping can most certainly spin you into a bad trip... just don't be stupid don't push the boundaries always remember what yoru doing

 

I knew someone who became permanently schizophrenic after taking acid only once.

 

It is possible to go over the edge my friend, i know because i have been there. Two years ago during the summer i started taking LSD on a very regular basis (3-4 times a month 3 hits at a time of very potent stuff). To make a long story short when that summer ended and winter came upon me i felt as if i was going insane. Voices in my head, had a huge trouble focusing, flashbacks everytime i would smoke weed including trails, after images and of course voices. Needless to say i fell into a deep depression dropped out of college and basically slept all day for an entire winter.

However this ended up being one of the best things to ever happen to me, it forced me to look for a lot of answers and explore things such as psychology, philosophy, physics and beyond. Today i am back in college with a new attitude, 4.0 all my classes, having more fun than i have ever had and in general happier than i have ever been and it would not have been possible without me "going over the edge". It forced me to look within for answers and really reevaluate what i was doing with myself. I do plan on dosing again but not until i feel 100% mentally stable for a long time. Basically what im trying to say is sometimes you have to feel insane to get a grip on what true sanity is.

 

i've heard that story 20 different times from 20 different people...

 

And honestly, nobody has sucessfully ever described to me exactly WHAT insanity even is?? Please explain to me what "permanent schizophrenia" consists of....especially when ALL things in the universe are impermanent....
