heh heh heh, one person's coincidences mean nothing. Why doesnt something like this happen to everyone?

 

In the Bible when Jesus went into a town where there was much faith He did many miracles, and when He went into a town with little faith, he did few. If you ever come to know Christ someday, you will find there is a lot more going on then simple coincidences at work. A friend of mine is a missionary in Africa. One day he discovered that a man was trying to steal his car. He tried to stop the man and this person pull out a shot gun. He pointed it at him and pulled both barrels. Neither barrel firied. The person was captured and he turned out to be one of the bigger murders in that part of the country. When the police got hold of his gun they test fired it by pulling both triggers, and both barrels went off. Their was no safety on this gun, for it was a crude home made model. Coincidence, I don't think so.

Yeah, we WESTERNERS get a new job or car and it's "God's blessing", but those who live in hostile nations get their fucking heads chopped off, wives raped and children taken or killed. PRAISE GOD, eh?

Westerners are spoiled. You're right. God's presence is not proved by blessings. Some Americans know this..many probably do not. Who knows? Can I speak for all Americans? I certainly cannot speak for all Christians.

God is not just found in success; God is also hidden in suffering. Jesus experienced the ultimate suffering: dying alone on a cross, ridiculed by passersby, abandoned by all friends and disciples, and feeling forsaken by God. God feeling the absence of God...now that is cosmic.

Because all "miracles" rely upon one thing and one thing only ~ the person to whom the "miracle" happens. JC had nothing to do with it. By their "faith" they were saved, not by the supposed JC or by god. They did it themselves but the loonies give credit to the sky, despite the fact "ye are all gods."

Both Jesus Christ, and the Old Testament tell you what is going to happen to the Jewish people, because of their sin against God. Why be surprised or angery when the Bible already tells you why as a people they will suffer. These people rejected the God who made this world, and nailed Him to a cross. Their is a spiritual battle going on here, and the Jews have been persecuted in almost every country they have entered. No other race or people have been so reviled as the Jewish people, and world wide. Now why is that? I can tell you why, because there are two forces at work here. There is the forces of God, and the forces of Satan. Since the Jews rejected God they are left to the mercy of Satan. Satan knows that in a world of billions of people, there are only 10 or 15 million Jews. He also knows, that if he could rid the world of those 15 million Jews, that would make the Bible null and void. Another words Satan would get a free pass, he would of beat God at His own game. If there was ever a man who was filled with evil it was Hitler. And next to world domination, Hilter wanted to kill every Jew. Now, where do you think that evil man got that thought from?

Ezekiel 39:23,24 The nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity; because they trespassed against me, and I hid my face from them: so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they fell all of them by the sword. 24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions did I to them; and I hid my face from them.

The Bible states that in the time of the end God would return the Jews back to the land of Israel. He states He will do this not for their sakes, because they polluted His name where ever they wandered. But God said, He will return them for His holy name sake. The Jews are first going to be returned to the land physically. Only later will God reveal to the Jews who He is, and that will happen after He saves their nation from the massive invasion of northern nations. And afterwards, the Bible states, that the Jews will look upon Him who they piereced, and they shall morn for Him. And they will ask Him about the wounds in His hands.

In the Old Testament God tells us that God will raise up the dead on His third day. Christ died in 33A.D. The New Testament tells us that one day with God equals 1000 years. Gods third day will begin in the year 2034. In the New Testament God states that the generation that sees Israel return and become a nation will not pass, until all end prophecies will be fulfilled. Israel became a nation in 1948. In the year 2034, the generation from 1948 will be 86 years old. Gods timing is perfect, and time is running out for this world.

 

For those who may have forgotten or missed the opener.....

I would like to propose a debate between two people from opposite ends of the spectrum. Those people are Campbell34 and Libertine. I cannot stress enough PLEASE let them debate and do not interject on what is being debating. This is an A/B conversation so please do not C your way into it : ) But rather read and learn. However, if you choose to interject do it in short. Libertine writes, "On the corresponding opener ask all participants to respectly respond only briefly and only to the debate itself."

 

It has nothing to do with a power trip... it is about having a healthy debate between two knowlegdable people instead having chaos. I think alot can be learned off this debate as long as people do not butt in and go out on tangents. If it was you and campbell you would just write a one liner and run away avoiding all evidence... notice how I chose Libertine to debate with campbell rather than you. You have no sense and you are not respectable.

 

There is no guarantee of extended life in this world, yet often God will step into the mix and prevent evil. America has been a truly blessed nation, but soon I fear, all of that is going to change. However, I did say I want to share some of my experiences with God, so let me tell you another story.

Somewhere back in 1983 I believe, I was coming home from working the 4 to 12 shift. I was just praying to God and thanking Him for my life when out of the blue I heard Him speak to my mind. I did not hear His voice this time, but it was as if I had. And the words He spoke to me were, ''your wife is going to have a child.'' The first words out of my mouth were, ''Lord, my wife and I have not even thought about having another child, but thank you Lord, for the child you are sending us." I could not believe what I had just been told. When I got home, I discovered that my wife had already gone to bed. I remember leaning against our bedroom door and watching my wife and saying to myself, ''my poor wife, she is pregnant and doesen't even know it.'' I then went to bed thinking I would tell her in the morning, but before morning came, my wife was in the bathroom throwing up. The rest is history, God gave me a son that I love, but the God of the Bible is truly a revealer of future events, and He sometimes passes that information on to those who love Him.

Campbell, I am still receiving anecdotal "evidence" from you. I'd like for us to debate the issues surrounding an objective "God" rather than continuing to stress "personal experience" (which is just your perception of what happened).
