How about when someone disagrees with you, you realise it's an Internet post, not a personal vendetta, and that your response and attitude are unreasonable.

First off disagreeing with you is not the same as denigrating what you're saying. For example, the business with Mike Jones. Who cares who Mike Jones is? Apparently you. I said OK, good for you. You take offence to this. What it amounts to is a difference of opinion.

The notion of banning a poster is to get rid of people who either troll, or who do things like post snuff porn in the kids' section. It's not "this person hurt my feelings! Silence him!" If it is, this is NOT a free speech forum it's basic schoolyard cliquery. Which I and many others will not support with our dollars.

And what that amounts to is other people saying WTF? Who else do I have to worry will take GREAT umbrage?

I said I disagreed with your taste in music. You directly called me an asshole to my face. So if we're keeping score as to who's being more offensive to who, you win.

If disagreeing with a mod's best friend is bounds for permanent removal, that gives everyone some pause.

After a few rather tasteless remarks about getting aroused by a female doctor during a physical, I said

Then on another thread, which doesn't even warrant going over, he posts an ad for his fave rap artist Mike Jones.

Basically, he says who is mike jones? I ask who cares? He says he does. I say good for him (an insulting comment, apparently) and he says I'm an asshole, to which I say look, I find what he does has already been done..... apparently this is grounds for this whole drama.

He posts in one thread how this experience is equivalent to someone being told domestic violence was deserved.

He then PMs me with various threats of banishment, then tries to bargain with me saying if I apologise profusely in public I'll only be gone a few days and it will teach me a lesson.
