    It is certainly news to me that belief in the power of the state over the individual is a left-wing belief.

    From Dictionary.com:

    "fascism (n.)-A political theory advocating an authoritarian hierarchical government (as opposed to democracy or liberalism)"

    Toolmaggot is just parroting neoconservative dogma which clearly states who our enemies should be:

    Fascists
    Communists
    Democrats
    Liberals
    Homosexuals
    Perverts of every stripe
    Abortionists
    Revolutionaries
    Socialists
    Environmentalists
    Anarchists
    Greens
    Peace Activists
    Hippies
    Stoners
    Anyone using illegal drugs
    Terrorists
    Islamic Extremists
    Insurgents
    Anyone acting "a little too merry"

    These are ALL sick, evil people! Hide your children!

    In other words everyone on the planet who isn't white middle/upper class conservative christian god fearing, terrorist fearing, republicans.

    Many of the more radical ones actually believe it's OK to kill any of the above.

    Doesn't it seem like the only thing uniting these conservatives is their FEAR of the above named groups?

    Yes they are ALL out to get you!

    That SF law really surprised me, because I've never, not once EVER in my entire LIFE met anyone who advocated a complete ban on firearms. Literally- I've simply never once EVER encountered anyone in real life espousing such a view.

    I tend to be pro-gun, as are all liberals I know, that I can think of at least. To me it's not a big issue, cuz anyone who wants a gun can get one easily and cheaply and without the slightest inconvenience.
