Uhhum, Skip did give a great example.

My point pretty much is... who cares? Knowing that something causes cancer will not stop people from burning incense, smoking, being a Buddhist, or walking in New York City.

Judging them for that, like Duck did, is plain idiotic.

How can a day be good when it's not made? :D

I am so sick of people bitching about people 'judging' things

our minds judge everything, it's just how they work, get the fuck over it

if you are aware of imminent peril, but take no precautions to avoid it, you deserve that peril, plain and simple

let me use myself as an example:
I know that this cold weather can help to make me sick
I do not dress overly warm or anything
I got sick probably because of this; I deserve it

i'm staring cancer in the face while i smoke a pack a day of cigarettes..
so i don't even care about burning incense, i'm still gonna do it.

That's why the only incense I use is Juniper Ridge Douglas Fir incense and it only contains: a bamboo stick, douglas fir and vegetable gum.

Okay, dressing warm in the winter is not the same as burning incense.

The analogy would work if people were like..standing over the incense breathing in all of the smoke directly. I agree, that's a stupid thing to do. and you'd get pretty sick. But just being in the same room? come on.

It'd be more appropriate to compare it to this: "don't go outside at all when its cold out...or you'll get sick." silly silly silly.

There are positive and negative ways of judging.

How is cancer imminent peril? It is anything other than imminent.
Do you avoid cancer at all costs? I bet you sit at home all day to avoid the sun because it might give you skin cancer.

    That example is terrible.

Go play kid, go play with the world.

cancer is also an astrological sign so should we take that sign of the zodiac out of astrology??? that's what you're saying when you say we should stop burning incense

no, but if Imma be laying aroudn int eh sun all day I stick on some sunscreen
death my not be imminent with cancer but shitloads of distress is not
and how is only burning incense in a room that is well ventilated 'avoiding it at all costs'??
is it really that hard to only burn incense in rooms that are well ventilated?
does that really inconvience you so much that you would rather get a horrible disease?

and do you even know what you mean by that last line?
do you love being a pseudo-philosophical hippie fortune cookie?

i actually open my windows when i light nag because the smell's so strong.

duck, when you go on a diet of only raw organic vegetables, breathe in perfectly balanced oxygen all day, and never use a product with any sort of chemical in it, let me know.

my grandpa said it best at 83: "i've smoked for 70 years, and if i stop smoking i'll probably get hit by a bus."

Hush child. The point is not the incense, the point is living life without fear.

Now go on and play, yes yes.

I would make a great fortune cookie though... I'm yummy!

I dunno... Cancer is the sign of the crab. Would that mean then that we'd need to ban crabs? Does that include those that infect pubic areas? Then what about crabby people? Do they get eliminated too? (that might be a good thing!)

    But wait...

    Maybe there's a connection here...

Crabby people may be crabby not just cause they were born in July, but because they've also GOT cancer from burning incense!

So the answer is to ban people who exhibit crabby tendencies from burning incense! :)

if you burn incense in a well ventilated area most likely you aren't even gonna be able to really smell it so it defeats the purpose of actually burning incense in the first place

We will have to send these crabby incense burners to a well
Ventilated island so they cant effect all of the "perfect" people
    LOL
All I have to say to them is Dont forget your sun tan lotion !!!

*On a serious note ... cancer is horrible and I thank you for bringing awareness to the people that didnt know that about the incense... but you cant fully prevent yourself from cancer so why live your life in a plastic bubble ? Live the way you wanna live I cant tell you what to do but I am not going to live a paranoid exsistince because alot of things in the world causes cancer and you cant really stop it so enjoy what you got

    You only live once

    Thats just my oppinion ...
