    Hello,

depends on how manly you are ;). Anyways, I guess I prefer the coat. I live in a high risk area of TBE and lyme disease. This little bastards are really nasty. They get you even if you stay on the paths in the woods.

Being burried in a barrel full of booze like this english guy would be funny.

    Regards

Yeah, that sucks. We have more of them here too when it warms up sooner in spring. But didn't got any from walking on the forest paths! Have to remove some of the dog every once in awhile though...

I'm missing something it seems. Not sure I would like it, even if beer is my beverage of choice :p

    Hello,

they wander up north and live in higher altitude nowadays. I think that has something to do with the climate. As a child I practically lived in the woods and I can barely remember having problems with ticks. In contrast in may and june I had five or six ticks sucking off my blood.

    That was Lord Nelson IIRC.

Ah, I see (googled)! Intriguing :)

Same here about the ticks. As a kid I rarely worried about them. The only way I knew about them was because our dogs back then were crawling in the bushes if they could as well and so we had to get them off of them. Not of ourselves ever (strange cause as a kid I crawled in everything as well, loved the forest too and rarely stayed on the paths :p) Their growing numbers are commonly blamed on the climate here too.

    Hello,

I think it's the most dangerous animal we have here. Vipers, wolfes or wild boars are kids' stuff compared to ticks ;).

Yeah we are blessed here with dangerous animals. We have only one wild wolf (actually it is dead and it must have came from across the border with Germany) :p
There are some people trying to get wolves released here in nature reservations :D But I'm afraid they are just too small for a proper group of wolves.
There are some vipers but they don't seem to bother anyone. What a contrast if you live in for example a country like India

    Hello,

take it as a gift ;).

I think we have a few small packs in Germany, mainly in the eastern parts. They are protected animals, but a lot of them get shot 'by accident'.

I haven't seen one in ages. I've heard it hurts like a motherfscking heartless bitch if a crossed viper bites you, but it doesn't kill you. I guess I would be dead within minutes in India ;).

Yeps, I also heard the local kind of vipers are not deadly. But they are so rare and I am so not used to watch out for them I would probably jump 10 ft high if I came across one on the Veluwe (one area over here where it is sure there are some) :p

    Hello,

I'm not a huuuge fan of snakes myself. My biggest fear is that I step on one by accident. But on the other hand I usually wear hicking boots, so even if the snake strikes it will hit the boots and nothing dangerous happens (except that I shit my pants ;)). If they would live on trees I would never enter the forrest ;).

    Regards
    Gyro

Let's hope it doesn't get more tropical in our part of the world! :D (actually i would not be complaining, except if it would mean more rain and the same lousy winters... which is probably the case so on second thought, nope no thanks)

Here currently (according to weather station placed on my wall and outside my door)

Currently 67 degrees. Low so far today 64.....High 82.

I believe the 67% is humidity. Weather will be staying the same in next 24 hours ....

oh and btw, it feels lovely out today. The kinda day where....after days and days of heat and fucking HUMIDITY it just feels great to go outside and BE....sit, walk, doesn't matter.... comfortable and NICE. (even being 8 months pregnant).

Love it and it'll be staying like this rest of week.

    Splash park tomorrow!!!!
