Either way, that isn't necessarily comparable to this situation. I hardly think a lion would give a mouse entering his territory a second thought.

You do realise that they can cause Salmonella, Leptospirosis, Hantavirus and Lyme Disease. Let alone the damage from chewing and nesting.

As I stated, if it was more hospitable weather, it would be a different story.

Yes. I've successfully dealt with mouse and rat infestation. And I'm talking infestation.

I once ate from a box of cereal, only to realize that the cereal box contained not only mouse droppings, but a live mouse!!

And you roll your eyes, but I'm serious. It really makes me sad to hear that attitude. I think it's truly unfortunate.

I don't think you are suppose to eat them raw!! ;)

    Edit to add

You added more after I quoted.

I think it is also unfortunate that a mouse came in. It is unfortunate that it could make us ill. It is unfortunate that it causes damage to not only food but the house. It is unfortunate that it is winter.

I did not roll eyes at your belief that it should be turned loose. It was the comment about coming back as a mouse that is a little over the top in my opinion. Karma is a funny thing as what you wish or project also comes back to you. That is what I found rather off putting with that remark.

None of what I posted was to make you sad. Your views, I respect that they are what they are. That you would handle the situation differently is fine as it is your home and your call then. :)

The homeless junkies living deep in the subway tunnels deep under the concrete jungle that is New York City eat subway rats as a food source. I doubt they eat them raw tho, they probably gather enough small peices of trash as kindling for a fire and cook them over the fire.

They probably use the foul smelling water that trickles through the bottom of the tunnel between the tracks to cook up their shot of smack :p

It did say that I hope you do NOT come back as a mouse (just in case you thought I said the opposite). Because I wouldn't want anyone to have to suffer as that mouse is about to suffer.

This topic is very important to me, obviously.

Me too :). I'm not sure why people have it out for them. Snakes, too. Why do snakes get such a bad reputation?

Currently making 500mL of 0.1M Calcium(II) hydroxide solution...added a bit too much water so I gotta boil it back down to the correct volume to I had to switch to my boiling flask until I get the volume low enough to to back in the Erlenmeyer flask, then I can fine tune the concentration without causing a caustic chemical volcano eruption from the flask ;)
