Balbus is programmed only to ask the same questions again and again, verbatim, until it gets the answers that it WANTS to hear. Until that happens, it won’t shut up. Because it is not programmed to see any rational arguments in opposing viewpoints.

R.I.P Britain. The queen lived long enough to witness her kingdom collapse.

Balbus wants the arguments explained. But the way he asks for that sounds indeed a bit like a programmed bot. Unfortunate, because I also wanna see the reasons, often given in one or two sentences, explained. I mean, just saying we (the UK) get better trade deals with the EU now, only raises the question 'why do you think so?'.
A lot of imported goods will only be more expensive, checking better what goes over the border will cost more time and money.
They're not in the same boat as the EU anymore, just because trade between UK and Eu must go on doesn't mean its gonna be in the UKs favour. Why would it?

Oh I love you guys, you make my life so easy.

One a Brit, a Yank and an Aussie all three in favour of Brexit but none of which can defend it or explain why it would be a good thing for the UK.

    I know, I know

But the thing is that I’ve been asking this of the so called euro-sceptics for over 40 years over 10 years online and about three in this one Brexit thread.

I think I must have tried ever derivation that’s possible by now, I’ve tried doing it in general ways, specific ways I’ve gone through it point by point, I’ve tried humour, sarcasm and drama but basically it all boils down to the one question

What rational and reasonable reasons do they have for thinking a Brexit would be better for the UK?

I’ve had a few irrational or emotion arguments for Brexit, the nationalist, the racist, the neoliberal arguments for example but none stand up to objective scrutiny

I mean one of the most common replies I get when I don’t just accept their viewpoint and put up criticism of it is that I ‘don’t just get it’

But none of them seem able to explain what ‘IT’ is or means.

The other most common reply is that there are rational arguments that remainers are missing or ignoring but when asked the leavers seem unable to say where there are or repeat them.

So stuck on the merry go round we are and scream if you want to go faster.

The main reason for this thread was to point out the absurdity of Brexit and while it now seems certain the UK will Brexit that reason has not gone away and the UK still doesn’t leave until the transition period is over in 2021 (and might be extended) with all the Brexit related trade negotiations so we still have a long way to go.

And after it has become official I’m guessing there will then be the campaign to go back in.

    Let’s see Britback, Britent, EUin

    Quite like EUin

Let's hope not. And I'm saying that as a person who did not want a brexit. But once the UK is really out, which will cost lots of money and effort, they really can't get in again anytime soon, which would again cost a lot of money and effort to implement the changes again. That would be an even bigger waste of time and money than brexit already is

Poor Sad Loser Bulby there is the epitome of self delusion.
We LEAVE the EU at the end of this month.
Our honourable leader Boris has said any transitional shite and negotiations MUST be finished by the end of this year.
Please just get over yourself and this loss for you and get on with your life.
Otherwise you are just going to keep on being miserable and tearful and unhappy.

    Cheers.

    Mal

    Oh hell

Joan Shenton the well-known AIDS denier and Tony Bastable who died in 2007 on Thames Television which stopped broadcasting in 1992

LOL you really are the gift that keeps on giving

You have to go back to something that is 43 years old to find something to back up your case for Brexit happening now, sorry mate this is hilarious

I was 16 in 1977 it was a country were basically there were three types of cheese one yellow one red and a blue one you only had at Christmas and Blue Nun was the height of sophistication for wine drinkers, that was the year of Abigail’s Party.

As I said this will be a generational thing I don’t expect a return in my lifetime , but I think I will have to try for the sake of my child.

It's been some juicy reading the last 3,4 years.

But once you leave the EU, British politics will bore me silly
