This is why you must know your sources very well.

There are groups of people out there who consider the production and distribution of LSD to be one of the most sacred and divine acts one can carry out on earth right now, and as such treat it's production and distribution with the utmost care, respect and integrity.

yes you are altering your reality. every time you do LSD you slightly change your brain. if you are a stable minded person it will not affect you much.

It will change the stable person's brain a little bit but they will be fine and function fine and not develop any mental illness or crazy paranoia or other side effects and go about life normally and function fine. that is why some people say it is not harmful because they can function fine.

if you have a bad trip or have a mental illness or unstable mind or are just unlucky then you can develop serious problems after LSD use.

Do you have any evidence that shows serotonin syndrome can be developed by only LSD? I have looked into this myself, and although the POSSIBILITY of serotonin syndrome has come from combinations involving multiple substances in some reports, just verifiably pure LSD, by itself, I have never seen anything report it as being a cause of serotonin syndrome.

I myself have personally been in a mild case of serotonin syndrome from an MAOI being combined with the wrong things. I have also had dosages of LSD that kept me awake for like 18 hours after it wore off in a hyper-energetic mildly psychotic state. And while getting into a long lasting hyper-energetic states from LSD can be serotonin syndrome-esque in some ways, after having experienced a real serotonin syndrome, what LSD sometimes puts me into is considerably different. Serotonin syndrome is a deadly condition, and pure LSD is not deadly, pure LSD is quite physically safe on the body and brain.

As for LSD psychosis. Certainly it exists, albeit LSD psychosis IS different in nature from true and genuine psychosis. But nonetheless something called 'LSD psychosis' can exist, I had a dosage of LSD once that did not seem to fully wear off for 6 months, in some ways I feel like it never did wear off fully. I imagine people viewing me from the outside they would of deemed that 'LSD psychosis'. But personally, I don't understand whats so terrible about psychosis. All my bouts with psychosis have been really beautiful, positive life changing experiences. The territory of the psyche marked 'psychosis' and 'schizophrenia' are the new great frontier that we must explore!

Well dude, I'm not sure how to answer you. I left a link for you to look at but I guess you chose not to.

Could you point to a reputable source for this quote? THIS is one of the things I was calling urban legend.

So in just a few minutes I will show you how easy it is to find a little verifiable information.

    About your flashback quote...

You don't smoke weed do you?

There's alot of info how there about flashbacks and serotonin syndrome.

You don't do "illegal drugs" ?

    Hmm, interesting.

    Here's one from Rice University.

I especially like the commentary on the skill level required to synthesize lsd. Putting lsd manufacture into the same category or even discussion, about things like making meth doesn't even make sense.

You need look no further than good ol Erowid to find out about strychnine in lsd.

    http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/lsd/lsd_myth5.shtml

Have you ever read the Microgram Bulletins from the DEA? Lots of interesting stuff there. How much adulterated lsd can you find in those?

    http://www.justice.gov/dea/programs/forensicsci/microgram/bulletins_index.html

The original link I posted is a very well regarded book, by the man that invented it. Take a look. There's some very enlightening info in it regarding toxicity, etc.

I'm not trying to take you to task, rather, to answer your question about why I posted what I did. You do other readers, and yourself, a disservice by repeating foolishness like "lsd adheres to your bones". Or the one that it causes genetic damage. Or lsd has strychnine in it.
One thing that contributes to drug ABUSE, is propaganda from the anti-drug crowd. Younger people get told this message that "marijuana leads to heroin", "lsd makes you go crazy" ... etc etc... Then they look around, and see perfectly normal people that have smoked some bud, tripped on lsd and other psychedelics, and realize they've been lied to.

I really think that if you took a few evenings and searched out some papers and books online you'd see that most of what you've heard about lsd is wrong. It was used countless times and researched for years before it was made illegal. And why was it made illegal? For exactly the same reason 2C-E is about to. There's been 2 documented deaths from 2C-E recently, gathering alot of press. I'm sure you know the statistics from things like alcohol and tobacco to compare that to. The hysteria that took place in the mid 60's lead to the banning of lsd, not due to deaths, genetic damage, insanity, or "adhering to bones". It was due to ignorance and contempt prior to investigation.

All that took less than 1/2 hr. Take a little time yourself. :)
