In some sense many things -- the allure of sensory pleasures, attachment to mundanity, procrastination, mental preoccupation, foreknowledge of my path -- but really those are all extraneous issues that are naturally encapsulated by the process of internal purification. Ultimately, it all comes down to my own willingness to rise the challenge that's been presented to me.
