They are looking for people that they think could be a threat. People with radios and vehicles
and weapons. Lots of metals and lots of manufactured technology using lots of energy. People
who are engaged in warfare or smuggling. People dependent on this civilization or living what
is considered a precursor lifestyle, like a stereotypical 'hunter-gatherer' village or camp. People
trying to live like they think the Pioneers or Mountain Men lived.

They are spottd now and again by my acquaintances living in the mountains. But they don't
spot my acquaintances, who do none of the above. They are supposed to be "stealth" vehicles,
but that's a very relative thing. In the peace of the Rockies my acquaintances spot them when
they are many miles away, by sound or sight, night or day. They stick out like sore thumbs.

And by-the-way, most of those helicopters, they tell me, aren't actually black. They are very
dark green.

They're looking for metals, etc., that are detectable, but if you're part of the land, you're not detectable, the irony being that anything manufactured that's supposed to make your life better is a means to track you, which brings a new meaning to the Buddhist ideal that what you own owns you.

It's radar that they use to detect metals. And radar (microwaves) is absorbed by
carbon. That's why stealth aircraft (and other constructs) are often black.

If you keep the amount of steel you use down to a minimum, and keep what isn't
being used in crushed-charcoal lined containers, then there is no chance of you
being detected in that way.

The use of charcoal layers in Earth-shelter construction also keeps them from
being detected with ground-probing radar.

Another important "stealth" design guideline is "organic" shape. Making buildings
that are not geometric and follow the local contours of the environment. In
all dimensions. A sloping, rounded floor of rock and clay with a wooden floor
over it will be seen as a natural shape by ground-probing radar....

The biggest detection threat my friends have to concern themselves with isn't
technology. It's dogs...

This really doesn’t have any thing to do with driving a car but this post seems to have turned this way. So my question is if you wanted to disappear in, say, oh, a national forest how would you avoid infrared scanners?

 

Hey OWB. I can tell you what the people I know do. They learned how to do it, I
was told, from the U.S. Military, which uses the same strategy to hide its own secret
bases. Ironic, eh?

It starts with superb insulation. My friends create artificial caves consisting of several
feet of clay and soil (complete with native plants) supported by logs. Within this
Earth-shelter they build a platform-floor a foot or so off the uneven 'ground' and then a
non-bearing "tent" on that. There's a foot or more of dead air space all the way around
the "tent", which is completely sealed.

Air enters the building (not the cave) through an underground "pipe" (covered trench)
on one side of the building (usually downslope) and leaves through multiple pipes
after being mixed 20:1 or so with outside air.

The ventilation system is powered by a large, crude, clockwork motor, which has
a net bag full of a thousand pounds or more of rocks as a weight. It has to be
cranked up once a day or so. It has its own, sound-insulated room.

By the time the exhaust air reaches the outside, it is the same temperature as
the outside air, or close enough for government work, so to speak

The air movement is constant and gentle. Large wooden tubes with multiple
wooden fan blades on a common axle are what actually move the air.

Didn't you once mention some kind of a handbook about living clandestinely
in the woods? Would you mind refresshing my memory on that?

Yes, I bought it back in the 70s so it's a little out of date but it's called; "The Robin Hood Hand Book" by Bill Kaysing. Here's a quote from the book;

Looks interensting. I'm surprised that I haven't heard of it before. Will see if I

As for being out of date, a book written in the 15th century on the same subject
could have plenty of useful information....

The thing about all the paranoia about hi-tech surveillance is that they have to
be looking for you for that to be a problem requiring more than just common
sense to deal with.

THE MAIN THEME of this thread is: "Boycott Cars man".

"The Indy Hippy"'s main concern was about GLOBAL WARMING possibly causing great harm to our environment, and ouselves, through the exhaust products of the automobile's internal combustion engine (power source), giving off CARBON MONOOXIDES and DIOXIDES, which supposedly concentrate in large enough levels, to trap heat, and as a result, raise our world-wide temperatures to adversely effect our weather (droughts, floods, etc.) and cause massive food shortage and then, deaths through MASSIVE STARVATIONS.

"The Indy Hippy's" immediate "short term" solution was to "BOYCOTT CARS", to reduce (or eliminate) the levels of automobile exhaust products, so GLOBAL WARMING doesn't take place. However, some scientists came to the conclusion that "COW FARTS" (biological waste gases - particularily METHANE) were MORE of a concern toward GLOBAL WARMING, than the automobile's CO, CO-2 emissions! Yes, serious scientific studies were done on this issue!

Of course, the TV COMEDY show of: SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE coudn't leave this idea alone, and just HAD to do a hilarious comedy skit, about a scientist (aka WILL SMITH) measuring the METHANE output levels of flatuant cows! Good thing we don't have SMELLEVISION attached to our TELEVISIONS ("Tellies" for you UK folk)! Break out the crackers, because somebody just cut the cheese!

METHANE is a much greater effecting GREENHOUSE gas than CO,CO-2 gases, and so is WATER VAPOR (clouds). Of more concern is METHANE GASES, not just from flatuant mammals, but from the bottom of our world's oceans. Large volumes of PRESSURIZED METHANE GASES (and HEAVY WATER - H-3O) exist on our Earth's ocean's bottoms. Underwater VOLCANIC ACTIVITY constantly pumps our planet's oceans WATERS with VOLCANIC GASES, mostly out through the MID-OCEAN ridges, which are edges of TECTONIC PLATES.

A huge environmental concern is the heating up of our planet's CORE and MOLTEN MAGMAS. A HOT core could overheat underground waters and cause steam pressures to increase, and maybe some steam explosions to occur! Of course, VOLCANOISM and EARTHQUAKES would increase dramatically (as it is now doing - 500% INCREASE form the early 1900's)! An OVER-HEATED core, would "liquify" the molten magma too much, and cause our Earth's crust to slip, and move violently, with catrstrophic results (like a "slipping" auto transmission)!

Hotter ocean floor bottoms, would cause more severe HURRICANES (like CATEGORY 5's, or more, like is happening now) to occur, as the hotter ocean waters would pump (transfer) its heat into the atmosphere, causing the more severe TROPICAL STORMS (and El NINOS)! Also, the pressurized METHANE GASES, would be released (bubble-up) and travel up to the surface, and into our Earth's atmosphere, causing some ACTUAL GLOBAL WARMING effects!!! Increased WATER VAPOR (through EVAPORATION, which is from heat) would also occur, adding to an ACTUAL GLOBAL WARMING situation!

Another huge environmental concern is about SOLAR RADIATION outputs of our VARIABLE STAR, the sun (SOL). A VARIABLE STAR can have dramatic VARIATIONS in SOLAR RADIATION OUTPUT, FAR GREATER than our normal SOLAR and SUNSPOT CYCLES!!!

SOLAR MAXIMAS (of normal solar cycles - AVE: 11 years?) are bad enough in effecting our weather, but a MAJOR VARIABLE STAR output would actually cause our SUN to physically EXPAND OUTWARD toward EARTH (but not get real close to Earth) and shoot out lethal doses of solar radiations! Some scientists theorize that the last time this happened was when the DINOSAURS WENT EXTINCT! Luckily, we may be talking about a MILLIONS OF YEARS cycle! What a sort of RELIEF that is!

There are also many REAL threats from outer space, such as BIG ASTEROIDS, COMETS, GALACTIC SUPER-WAVES (from the BLACKHOLE in the center of our MILKY WAY GALAXY), Earth's entry into dangerous energy fields (or BLACKHOLES) in space (as we travel along, by rotating with our galaxy) and the most dangerous threat: a DEADLY RADIATION BLAST from a near-enough SUPER-NOVA (exploding STAR)! This would be an Extinction Level Event (ELE)! Every 3,600 years, it is believed that a DARK STAR "NEMESIS" shoots a deadly ASTEROID CLUSTER at us, similar in the way a bowling ball shots bowling pins in all directions!

Our worst man-made environmental concern is the production of TOXIC WASTE PRODUCTS, from our highly INDUSTRIALIZED-based SOCIETIES! However, MOST DANGEROUS are SCIENTIFIC EXPERIMENTS with BIO-WEAPONS, NANO-TECHNOLOGY and GENETIC-ENGINERING (including Genetically-Modified (GM) crops and foods {nicknamed: FRANKENFOODS), which if done wrong (on a large enough scale) could eliminate our human species, or almost ALL LIFE on Earth! SCARY stuff!!!

A RECENT MAJOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN is the disappearance of the world's BEES! Over half (>50%), of the BEES in the USA have supposedly died off! BEES pollinate most of our FOOD CROPS and FLOWERS, so these crops would die off as well! Only GRASSES and GRAINS and certain TREES (wind pollination) would survive! However, ocean plants (like KELP) and ALGAES would still be available! MASSIVE STARVATIONS could result!!! There was an hour-long SPECIAL on this BEE situation on our local PBS station, plus PAT ROBERTSON had a special on this ALARMING topic!!!

If you beleive in an ETERNAL SOUL/SPIRIT (and/or REINCARNATION) this shouldn't bother you, and you should just LIVE FOR LIFE, and not DEATH!!!

I cannot fault "The Indy Hippy" for having life-threatening concerns about factors having adverse effects on our Earth's environment, as that is a GOOD thing, but I think that GLOBAL WARMING is just a RED- (GREEN)-HERRING (implying "agenda-based" MIS-INFORMATION (JUNK SCIENCE) and/or DIS-INFOMATION). In this POST, I listed many more REAL ENVIRONMENATAL concerns, that you should focus on for SOLUTIONS!

"BOYCOTTING CARS" is not the best solution to our environmental and economic problems, as "boycotting cars" would seriously CRASH our economy and that would be an even worse scenario!!! Again, I can't fault "The Indy Hippy", as everyone just needs to do their own LEARNING and RESEARCH toward the TRUTH, more EFFECTIVELY! THe MORE the BETTER!

I applaud "The Indy Hippy" for CARING about humanity, anyway, i.e. being ALTRUISTIC! All "hip" individuals SHOULD CARE. "Hugging trees" is optional! Hugging humans is REQUIRED!

SUPERFICIALLY, this thread is just about "boycotting cars", to reduce pollution levels (especially GREENHOUSE GASES) and thus, try to lessen the effects (or stop) GLOBAL WARMING.

ESOTERICALLY, it is about overall TECHNOLOGIES' impact on our planet Earth's BIO-SYSTEMS, and the balance between the two. It's about a HIGH-TECH philosophy vs. the BACK TO NATURE (GREEN) philosophy of those "tree-hugging" (humor) hippies.

HENRY DAVID THOREAU, supposedly had an IQ of 200 (GENIUS), and probably could've made great technological advancements, yet he chose the BACK TO NATURE, SPIRITUAL route. Now that's a SMART GUY!!! In the UFO/ALIEN literature (whether true or not), there is a story about an advanced alien culture called the ORR, who became disgusted with what negative effects technological advances truely had on their life-styles, so they stored their TECH away in special buildings, and decided just to live in HARMONY WITH NATURE!

Alot of ARCHEOLOGISTS claim that Earth's human history is just a viscious cycle, where we start out PRIMITIVE, develope advanced technologies, and then finally just destroying ouselves with it, becoming PRIMITIVE again, to start the cycle all over again. When will this viscious cycle end? When will we TRUELY LEARN OUR SPIRITUAL LESSONS? When will we SPIRITUALLY EVOLVE to the next levlel - NEXUS!

Our PRIMITIVE, WARLIKE nature gets in the way! In the movie: PLANET OF THE APES, the intelligent APES hide the old technologies of the HUMANS far,far, far away in SECRET CAVES, in FORBIDDEN LAND (ZONES), i.e. to SUPPRESS these TECHNOLOGIES from their own people, so they don't make the same stupid mistake (as the HUMANS), who destroyed themselves with NUCLEAR WEAPONS! Some NEW AGERS claim that some higher-evolved beings (ULTRA-DIMENSIONALS and/or EXTRA-TERRESTRIALS or ASTRAL-BEINGS) are implementing a HUMAN ABDUCTION and "Genetic-HYBRIDING" agenda, by manipulating our DNA, and removing most of our WARFARING instincts, to break our viscious cycle of planetary self-destruction. Or is it just Earth human's SECRET RULING FACTIONS trying to implement this?

Some SOLUTIONS on this thread involve BOYCOTTING TECHNOLOGY and going BACK TO NATURE (as expressed by "Littlefoot"), at least he "WALKS his TALK". "Littlefoot" lives in WASHINGTON STATE (probably near the SEATTLE area), "earthmother" lives in WEST VIRGINA and I ("cosmicdust") live in MICHIGAN (north of the Metro Detroit area). All three of these states are usually heavily-wooded, with plenty of water (especially MICHIGAN), with many natural resources and food to eat. A plot of land in these states is fairly easy to make a living at (if you have the proper knowledge to do so), while a "plot of land" north of Tuscon, Arizona, in DEATH VALLEY CALIFORNIA, or near the POLAR EXTREMES would be almost impossible to survive on (without using HIGH-TECHNOLOGY)!

In SEVERVE ENVIONMENTAL conditions, such as the POLES, underground in military bases and on other planets, you MUST have HIGH-TECHNOLOGY to survive!

Most HIPPY COMMUNES "failed" on GOOD LAND, because of a lack of proper knowledge and/or were "stopped" by government intimidation: "Those COMMIE hippies!". "earthmother" "WALKS her TALK" and lives as NATURALLY as possible. I think that she still hasn't totally gven-up on all technologies, yet. I definitely like a BACK TO NATURE lifestyle (with small hamlets and villages and farms) but I'd also like some carefully chosen high-tech items, though, like a "climate control system", adequet lighting and a "hovering, anti-garvity, FREE ENERGY CAR" for travel (insuring NO POLLUTION, except for manufacturing them and GREEN HIGHWAYS, instead of asphalt and cement), and/or a small, ANTI-GRAVITY, FREE ENERGY flying saucer.

In this THREAD, I discussed some QUANTUM PHYSICS, because it was necessary to understand the technologies involved in creating: "non-polluting, hovering cars", that even Dr. Werner von Braun (famous German rocket-scientist) knew about, in the 1970's. Then there would be no need to "Boycott cars, man." Also, we can "create our OWN REALITIES", through QUANTUM PHYSICS/SPRITUAL techniques! If you live out in nature (to 'boycott TECHNOLOGY", then you may be "spyed-on" by GOVERNMENT BLACK HELICOPTERS, so we had to discuss that.

"Littlefoot" has many natural "hiding" techniques that are quite clever! Those PATRIOT and MILITIA groups would love you for them! They believe in GOD, COUNTRY and FREEDOM, and mostly have normal, country life-styles! It's only those RADICAL side off-shots that cause trouble, as is with most political and religious groups!

One RADICAL MILITIA "off-shoot" group was going to "blow-up" some United Nations' RUSSIAN TANKS, that were stored on the property of CAMP GRAYLING (GRAYLING, MICHIGAN), but the FBI stopped them! It is rumored that United Nation troops would be dispensed for MARTIAL LAW (to take-over the USA), for the NWO (as they are more likely to SHOOT Americans, if need be, being FOREIGNERS)!

Thanks. Boycotting cars to save the environment is far too simplified a concept, that's for sure. Better to boycott wrong living in general. If each and every single person could or would simply take responsibility for themselves in the greater scheme of things... I mean take responsibility for the air you breathe as an individual, the "space" you take up (which would include things like how you interact with others), the things you consume and the waste you make, that would be the ideal. And at times that can be difficult enough. There are plenty of people who can't: either elderly, sick, or small children, there would need to be others who would take up the slack for them.

IF the world was based on this simple concept of taking responsibility for yourself and helping those who can't, there would STILL be problems to worry about. But it would be a much nicer place.

And I think that if suddenly we all lived in paradise and there were NO more problems at all, humans might go completely insane! That's right. People seem naturally predisposed to COMPLAIN and find things to protest against! Even in a small somewhat enclosed environment like the kind of place where they take care of the elderly, people would STILL sit around and complain about their aches and pains, the bad medical service, or someone else's opinion of how to fix the problem. Humans are complainers! For some it becomes a very bad habit. Faults and problems MUST be found and blame must be laid. When in actuality, we are simply very LUCKY to be alive and here at all. Things have been too easy for too long and people get the idea that it's SUPPOSED to be that way. But I never saw any LAWS or RULES stating that nature HAD to be good to us. Humans have an altogether too big of an impression of themselves and their importance. Sure, we can either make the world a BETTER place, or a WORST place, but there ARE only so many things we can actually have an EFFECT on. We are NOT all powerful! It's foolishness to think that "eliminating cars" will "cure" the greater problems of living on a living earth in a constantly changing galaxy that we DON'T have control over. Can we control the sun? The inner planetary workings? The solar system? Will boycotting THINGS keep the sun from getting hotter, the asteroids from hitting us, the earth's core from heating up? NOPE. What we need more than ANYTHING is perspective! If we actually HAD the technology to "fix" these huge natural happenings to our liking, we would MISUSE the technologies involved anyhow, because the earth WAS NOT CREATED JUST TO MAKE US HAPPY!

 

YES! The absurd things that are happening right now with Iraq, the erosion of civil rights, etc., is a by product of what WE created, because of the way WE live. It's convenient to target Bush and Cheney as scapegoats for the mess we're in, and it's not as if they're NOT responsible, but some of that responsibility lies with us for putting them in power to begin with. Any changes I make to my lifestyle as a result of this new way of thinking on my part won't happen all of a sudden, but certainly a change in THINKING will result in a change in ACTION, over time.

Obviously this is a matter of DEGREE, I mean anyone who can read this is feeding into the military-industrial complex on some level, but if you can minimize the use of anything industrial, you're better off--less is best.

And isn't it ironic that some of the RICHEST people are the ones with the biggest problems, because they can afford them. So they go to their shrinks and they take their meds, because they have no idea how to be happy. Happiness to them equates to making more money, yet the more they make, the more they want, and the more miserable they become, because deep down they know it's wrong. Ultimately our well being boils down to our relationship with our mother (earth).

 

Glad to get back an' see my thread is finally blossoming. Earthmother, don't misunderstand why I started this thread, I know full well that targeting cars is not going to solve the mass problems of technology an' the misuse of it for shelfish gains man. But in order for something to really get started you have to begin with the small things. Technology is not evil, the intentions of the people who use it are what bring the bad about man. I don't know how to solve the crisis that is enveloping our planet but I do know from past experiance that if we try to solve the small components that make up the larger problem the solution will eventually become clear.

Thanks for starting this thread! This thread may have "blossomed" into a slightly more esoteric direction, and gone "deeper" than you probably expected, but I learned alot from it, both by me doing extra research to create my own posts, and also by me learning form the the other posters on this thread (who may have added some more extra "puzzle pieces", to my over all puzzle of TRUTH)! Also, by doing extra research for this post, I discovered alot of cool new YouTube videos, with much interesting new data, for me to evaluate!

Mankind has gotten along WITHOUT cars, alot longer than it has WITH cars!!! Before cars, mankind had either to walk, or ride some sort of large mammal, like: horses, mules, camels and elephants. Unfortuanately, the modern AMERICAN culture is almost entirely centered (and financially dependent) on the automobile (1 out of 6 jobs is automobile related)! We COULD get rid of cars, but then, we'd be going BACKWARDS! Wouldn't we?

We need to move FOWARD, by using high-technologies that DO NOT HARM MOTHER EARTH!!! That's the KEY, to use TECHNOLGIES that are TOTALLY HARMONIOUS to NATURE! We need to embrace the NATIVE AMERICAN philosophies toward ENVIRONMENTALISM!

We should use high-technologies, but not WORSHIP them, plus EMPHASIS a more NATURAL (BACK TO NATURE) existence ! We can have a highly SPIRITUAL-based culture, with only using TECHNOLOGY as TOOLS, to reach our higher SPIRITUAL GOALS! Then when we evolve to the next SPIRITUAL LEVEL, we won't have a need for MATERIAL TECNOLOGIES at all!!! COULD this scenario happen?

The MAYANS and the HOPIS (who are really "migrating" MAYANS, from 500 years ago, according to the MAYAN ELDERS), both believe that at the end of THE MAYAN CALENDER (December 21, A.D. 2012), ALL MAN-MADE OBJECTS will VANSISH, when we move from the 4th to 5th WORLDS! We will enter a HIGHER SPIRITUAL PLANE of EVOLUTION! This is why the MAYANS and HOPIS have extra houses made TOTALLY out of ALL NATURAL MATERIALS, for this A.D. 2012 transition!!! If so, we'll have NO FURTHER NEED for MATERIAL TECHOLOGIES! We'll just play a new NEXUS game!

After END GAME, comes START GAME (the next level)!!! THE UNIVERSE MUST CHANGE AND CREATE, constantly!!! These are principles of QUANTUM PHYSICS.

We currently use the WRONG technologies in the WRONG places, plus have a TOTAL DISREGARD toward a HARMONIOUS BALANCE with NATURE and MOTHER EARTH! By returning toward a more PRIMITIVE existence, then we just focus on the physical needs of our SURVIVAL, and don't have much time to FOCUS toward higher SPIRITUAL GOALS!!! If TECHNOLOGY was DONE RIGHT (which it ISN'T NOW), then we can convert our FOCUS from the PHYSICAL to the SPIRITUAL!!! Then, reach our next intended SPIRITUALLY-EVOLVED LEVEL!

TECHNOLOGY is neither EVIL nor GOOD, as GOOD and EVIL are just abstract concepts created by man (BRYAN WILLIAMS -sargel18). The more accurate way to look at this problem is to say USE and MISUSE of TECHNOLOGIES, or even USE toward CREATION or DESTRUCTION.

TECHNOLGIES are merely NEUTRAL. NUCLEAR ENERGY is NEUTRAL, until you ASSIGN a use toward it. NUCLEAR ENERGY as a NUCLEAR REACTOR helps us CREATE (really RE-DIRECTS from hyper space-time) ELECTRICAL POWER for us. Some may label this as GOOD. On the other hand, NUCLEAR POWER as a NUCLEAR BOMB helps us DESTROY things for us. Some may label this as BAD. However, a NUCLEAR BOMB may be GOOD to a military commander.

It's all a matter of human perspective, as to what's GOOD or BAD, but the fact remains that NUCLEAR ENERGY can be used to CREATE or DESTROY! CREATION and DESTRUCTION are the CONSTANTS, while human perceptions toward USES, judged as GOOD or BAD are VARIABLES!

THEORY OF RELATIVITY: "No phenomenon can be compared to itself, but only in relationship to other phenomenom." For example, we must compare HOT to COLD. They "define" each other!

Another thing to consider is that we live in a BI-POLAR universe of SUBSTANCE and ABSENCE. THERMAL (HEAT) ENERY exists, but COLD ENERGY, doe not! COLD is merely the ABSENCE of HEAT ENERGY! It's NOT AN ENTITY existing on its own. Objects heat up, when THERMAL ENERGY is PUMPED INTO an object, while objects cool down (i.e."FREEZE), when THERMAL ENERGY is PUMPED OUT. In THERMODYNAMICS, we are talking about HEAT FLOW DIRECTIONS only, not COLD FLOW DIRECTIONS!!!

Similarily, SPACE (VACUUM) is just an absence of EXISTANCE (various forms of ENERGY). LIGHT ENERGY exists, but DARK ENERGY does not EXIST. DARKNESS is just an ABSENCE of LIGHT ENERGY. We have FLASHLIGHTS, but we don't have FLASHDARKS (i.e. project DARKNESS into LIGHT)! Even though that would be cool, to have a FLASHDARK!!! DRY is the absence of WET (H2O - WATER VAPOR). We can see and "quantify" a droplet of water, but when its gone (i.e. DRY), there is nothing left to see and "quantiify" (i.e. measure).

EVIL is merely the ABSENCE of GOOD. The DEVIL is merely an absence of GOD! Or we term it, a SEPERATION from GOD! Many Christians FALSELY believe that there is a SANTANIC POWER SOURCE, from which SATAN derives his powers, but I believe that there is only ONE SPIRITUAL POWER SOURCE, whom we label: GOD, PRIME CREATOR, SOURCE, ALL THAT IS, and so forth into infinity.

GOD is NEUTRAL. He/she/it is a UNIVERSAL POWER SOURCE (POWER PLANT)! We can either use his/her/it's (ALL THAT IS) POWER to CREATE or DESTROY! When WE CREATE, we are CLOSE TO GOD! However, when WE DESTROY, we seperate ourselves from GOD. GOD is THE CREATOR, and not THE DESTROYER! Who says GOD THE DESTROYER!

When we destroy, we upset GOD's CREATION, or send "ripples" through his UNIVERSAL HOLOGRAM, upsetting UNIVERSAL BALANCE! The TRUE TRINITY is POWER SOURCE (NEUTRAL), CREATION and DESTRUCTION. In HINDU philosophies VISHNU is "the PRESERVER", BRAHMA is "the CREATOR" and SIVA is "the DESTROYER". An accurate desciption of the universe! HATE is an absence of LOVE!

GOD is a UNIVERSAL HOLOGRAM, who FRAGMENTED him/her/itself into many smaller pieces. Some pieces where given "free will", because it becomes boring to move puppets and marionettes, by themselves, and controlling ALL of their actions and thoughts! You also mention that we must START with the SMALL THINGS in order to make changes in a BIGGER THING (i.e. a HIGHER-STRUCTURED ORDER)! This is VERY TRUE!!! ALL WALKS begin with a the FIRST STEP. You make the points that SOLVING PROBLEMS is the ESSENCE nature of HUMAN BEINGS, and that "earth WAS NOT CREATED TO MAKE US HAPPY!" Studying Earth's history these things seem to be very true!

An old epsisode from: STAR TREK (the TV SCIFI Series), had a show plot where the STARSHIP ENTERPRISE comes to a planet and takes a SHUTTLE-CRAFT down. The ENTERPRISE landing party crew find a lone human, who has advanced aliens attend to all of his wants and needs, and thus has NO PRBLEMS to solve. His problems were SOLVED INSTANTLY! After awhile it drove him crazy! Conclusion, maybe man is just A PROBLEM-SOLVING BEING, it is our ESSENCE, or who we ARE!

In a similar idea, THE TWILIGHT ZONE (TV Series) had an episode where a GANGSTER is killed, and goes to a place, where he gets everything he ever wants and needs, and EVERYTHING goes the way he wants it to! He gets the hottest of women, and all of the liquor he coud ever drink! When he played BILLIARDS, with his first shot, he hit all of the balls into all of the pockets, in just the right sequences! He states: "This must be HEAVEN!". However, after a period of time, he gets very bored and dissatisfied. It just doesn't seem like heaven, anymore! Of course, in the END of the story, he fiqures it out, as a DEVIL pops up and laughs hysterically!!!

I've lived in the Detroit Metro Area, all of my life, so I KNOW how important the AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY is to this country! The first highway (specifically for automobile use), was THE DAVISON HIGHWAY, in HIGHLAND PARK, MICHIGAN. In THE HENRY FORD MUSEUM (in DEARBORN, MICHIGAN) is the world's first TRAFFIC LIGHT (designed by a DETROIT POLICEMAN)!

THOMAS EDISON (who grew up in PORT HURON, MICHIGAN) invented the MOTION PICTURE PROJECTOR, so the world's first MOVIE THEATER was in DETROIT, MICHIGAN! MICHIGAN is an AQUARIAN state (AQUARIUS - the WATER-BEARER). Sounds logical ? We bear much water, with the GREAT LAKES and 11,000 INLAND LAKES! AQUARIUS is also INVENTIVE and INNOVATIVE! We NOW have entered the age of AQUARIUS! Great changes WILL HAPPEN!!!

I wouldn't boycott cars, but as I don't drive, I would love to live in a world where we could walk everywhere, and everything was in walking distance. I love walking (much more than I like driving) and it's good exercise.
Unfortunately we don't live in a world like that anymore.

 

Even if your destination isnt physically close, it is usually possible to walk to the nearest Bus/train station.

 

This is true in Europe, but not so true in the US, where you practically need a car to survive outside the big cities. I agree a world in which cars were no longer necessary, and we could walk anywhere we needed to go, would be ideal. It would solve a lot of our problems like obesity and in turn the health care crisis, since folks would be healthier from getting off their asses and walking. Furthermore, it would bring about more of a sense of community, since people would be passing by one another on foot, instead of being encased in metallic projectiles, and it would encourage a local economy, instead of the impersonal and corrupt global economy that now plagues us.

The air ship idea sounds cool for travelling long distances, given that all you need is methane and/or hot air--hell, I could personally sustain one of those

 

THE NORTH AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW (i.e. formely called: THE DETROIT AUTO SHOW) is about to open at COBO HALL, in downtown Detroit. It usually draws large crowds, and on the weekends, it is so crowded there that its almost difficult to get anywhere! But what I find is sort of a joke is that the "cars of the future" still have combustion engines and wheels!!!

In cartoons, there are many "sterotypes" of the CAVEMEN, who DISCOVERED FIRE and INVENTED the WHEEL, plus PETROLEUM PRODUCTS are sometimes nicknamed: DEAD DINOSAUR JUICE!!! Modern automobiles may have some HIGH-TECH "bells and whistles", but BASICALLY automobiles use PRE-HISTORIC discoveries, inventions and technologies!

The ILLUMINATI (both SECRET GOVERNMENTS and CORPORATIONS, but MOSTLY GREEDY CORPORATIONS, and NOT GOVERNMENTS) have suppressed the really advanced technologies, and use it for themselves!!! However, the INTERNET has burst their bubble of SECRECY - WIDE OPEN (no EYES WIDE SHUT - Stanley Kubrick - here), as we enter the BIBLICAL period of REVELATIONS, where "ALL HIDDEN SECRETS are REVEALED", out in the open! A few days ago, on CNN, GLENN BECK (on his show) mentioned how in the future (NOW) that we were SUPPOSED to have FLYING CARS! He asks: "Where are they?" YES, where are they? SUPPRESSED of course!!! UNTIL the PROPER TIME comes! Why are these advanced technologies suppressed? Because the NWO/ILLUMINATI believes that these ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES would GREATLY INCREASE WORLD POPULATION and THEY want to GREATLY REDUCE the current world population by 80% (for better CONTROL)!!!

With "wheel-less" automobiles, we wouldn't need asphalt and concrete ROADS and HIGHWAYS, anymore! We can have GREEN HIGHWAYS, composed of: GRASSES, FLOWERS and even FOOD CROPS! CURRENT HIGHWAY WORKERS would be assigned to the care of the GREEN HIGHWAYS instead! They'll still have their jobs, although much different jobs, but maybe much more pleasant jobs!

Yesterday (01-09-2008), in the city of DETROIT, a BUTANE GAS tanker, lost control on an I-75 freeway bridge, it hit the side of the bridge's wall, flipped over, exploded, fell to the ground and started a few houses on fire! This I-75 bridge is closed INDEFINITELY!!! DETROIT-Metro freeway traffic will be somewhat messed-up by this! However, I thought of an excellant SOLUTION to this problem!

Since our SECRET U.S. MILITARY/GOVERNMENT has an underground highway system and high-speed MAG-LEV SUB-WAY system, we can construct a SEPERATE PUBLIC one, designed only for the transportation of highly-TOXIC and highly-FLAMMABLE substances! NO MORE SURFACE TRANSPORTATION and NASTY ACCIDENTS with TOXIC and FLAMMABLE SUBSTANCES!!! MANY MORE JOBS would be created to build this system!!!

We MUST start to build our BETTER REALTY, NOW and NOT COMPLAIN about the OLD one!!! MORE WALKING and LESS TALKING!!!

Are there GREENER HIGHWAYS (PROPERLY-APPLIED HIGH TECHNOLOGIES) and GREENIER PASTURES (BACK TO NATURE PHILOSOPHIES), ahead for us! I certainly HOPE so! You're right about EUROPE being set-up better toward WALKING to places, in sane distances! BICYCLING is VERY POPULAR (as a mode of transportation) as well! ALL of my grand-parents came from EUROPE, plus I still have many relatives who still, live in EUROPE, who have visited me, and my family, here in the USA, so know about EUROPEAN things.

However, in the good ole USA, we have become "centered" on the AUTOMOBILE, but also, HOPELESSLY DEPENDENT upon it, for our transportation, i.e. traveling distances are TOO FAR!!! We'd have to change almost ALL of our TRANSPORTATION INFRA-STRUCTURES and CITY PLANNING, more toward WALKING and BICYCLING, before we did away with the automobile, unless with go with a NON-POLLUTING, FREE-ENERGY design. I say, let's do BOTH, simultaneously!!!

In the SUMMERTIME, I go to STONY CREEK METRO PARK, to mountain-bike and hike. I see many old people and very young ones, walking, bicycling and roller-blading! All three of these modes of transprotation are still POPLULAR and HEALTHY to do (if done right)! A BACK TO NATURE philosophy, with SELECT HIGH-TECH items, with an EMPHASIS on: COOPERATION, COMPASION, LOVE, UNDERSTANDING and SPIRITUAL EVOLUTION, would BE BEST!!!

The nearest big city (with public transport) to me is 10 miles. I can't walk that. 2 or 3 maybe, but not 10.

 

I'm almost 50 miles from anything resembling "public transport"... 15 miles from a town big enough to get supplies in. 5 miles to even a "convenience" store where everything is triple the cost... Best I can do is once a week trip to town for necessaries. But that's only 4 gallons of gas a month... And I only mowed the "yard" twice last summer, it's huge and takes a lot more gas than the car! So the horses ate it instead. Road's too dangerous around here for a horse and wagon or you can believe I'd go to town that way! Damn crazy rednecks in big gas guzzling 4by4's... And you'll never convince those good old boys to give up their trucks and ATVs..... Otherwise I'd be HAPPY to go back to horse travel!

 

To "Boycott Cars man", "Littlefoot" mentions that it should be expanded to "Boycott Technology man", but to do so requires an almost TOTALLY BACK TO NATURE existence. "Earthmother" PRACTICES what she PREACHES, and lives a BACK TO NATURE-lifestyle (living HARMONIOUSLY with MOTHER EARTH, as the HOPI "NATIVE AMERICANS" do), but hasn't totally given up on many technologies, yet. Which, I think, is a healthy attitude!

I appreciate and respect nature, plus I love to be surrounded by natural beauty, so I DEFINITELY approve of a going BACK TO NATURE philosophy, but I don't necessarily want to go BACKWARDS in TECHNOLOGICAL or SPIRITUAL EVOLUTION!!! PROPERLY-APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES provide us with an EASIER and MORE COMFORTABLE life-style, saving time from "the FIGHT of SURVIVAL", i.e. hunting an fighting over scraps of food, with the other animals.

IN SEVERE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS (like living UNDERGROUND (Secret Military Bases), at the EARTH's POLAR EXTREMES, or even on other planets and moons (COLONIZATION), WE (as HUMANKIND) couldn't SURVIVE in those conditions WITHOUT ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES!!! In MICHIGAN, we have many REDNECKS driving around in "gas-guzzling" 4x4's, and they even go to MONSTER TRUCK RALLIES (which REALLY GUZZLE that GAS)! An awful lot of people in Michigan also wear alot of CAMO (hunting) clothes, as well! I even saw a liittle girl dressed in a CAMO shirt and pants!!! She was way TOO YOUNG to go HUNTIN'!

I call the CAMO-look: MICHIGAN'S OFFICIAL STATE UNIFORM, like THE WHITE PINE is OUR OFFICIAL STATE TREE! HUNTERS, of course, are always into alot of CAMO clothing. Those MICHIGAN MILITIA boys, also love that CAMO-look! Don't forget SELFRIDGE ANG (Air National Guard) base, still more CAMO!! I can't see MICHIGAN RESIDENTS, because they are all CAMOULAGED!!!

However, in MICHIGAN, we still have the AMISH and MENNONITE peoples, who still travel around in HORSE and BUGGIES! I've heard that they get 20 miles per HAY BAIL!!! That "smelly stuff" that comes out of a horse's TAIL-PIPE is BIO-DEGRADABLE and grows plants, quite nicely!
