well i will say i do disagree with young girls showing there body.i do partake in some of those threads and most of the time its for fun othertimes its art(i have done figure modeling and have posted some of those in my gallery) and i believe my photos in my gallery to be tasteful. this has been brought up before and maybe your right. maybe us older women partaking in this should stop so we are not influincing younger girls to do this. i mean really i dont know the soultion. any ideas?
I don't think it's degrading. If people don't like it, don't look at it. There are guys that posted themselves on the threads too. This is a public free speech forum. It's as simple as that.
As frequently happens nitemare, you and I are on the same page. It disturbs me too to see these young girls posting things like that on the internet with all the old lechers around.
Did I say that you specifically are old and that everyone who looks at naked girls on here are old? No. Although you probably are an old lecher.
i agree with you but not for people that are underage. every pic. i have posted has been just for fun... but honestly, i havent seen any underage people post pics.- i must be outta it.
When the threads first started I actually got a chuckle out of them as I, in all honesty, thought who in their right mind would post their pictures. For about the first 10 minutes. Some of the pictures at first were actually very tasteful and artistically done and were not offensive at all....then as with all, it has progressed to the point where I would not be bothered to open one of those threads. There were some images posted that were simply stunning as they were not sexual and instead the glory of the body of a person. They were not smut shots, they were art. I am not going to say which I felt that way about as I do not wish to demean anyone who did post there or glorify anyone either. I am rather baffled as to why those threads have remained to be honest, as there were some that were removed as they were deemed to be unacceptable, that seems to be the flavour of the times in that any thread showing males was removed and any showing women were not....The message seems to be very clear that the women on this forum can basically post any body shot that they wish to and it is ok to have slobbering over them but the males dare not show more than their chests...rather ironic as it mirrors society. We are deemed to be fair game and the so called progressive group of people here simply cheer on the stereo type of boobs are it. I have nothing against nudity nor expression of opinions but do feel that the whole playful aspect of this has long past and a message is being sent by the silence of many that it is just fine to allow this smut, as it is women. I mean no disrespect to anyone who did post in those threads with a picture, I simply question why they would of after the first one was posted as a fun thing.....it has progressed to the point of young kids posting their shots....sad message of what is acceptance by the populace in here, that a woman posts her breasts and gets rep points. Perhaps another reason to do away with rep points...they have become candy...eye candy, in this case.
although I dont really care for them or anything, I dont see how they can be degrading if its the persons own choice to post them..if you wanna flash the whole forums, thats your thing..Ill just say this: Please give fair warning or post them in the suitable threads so those who dont wanna be exposed to it dont have to be. I respect those people as long as they respect me as well.
hey concretegirl i understand what you mean, in that some people might be offended by accidentally opening up a "naked" thread, but the real point of my post was that the entire concept of a "boobies thread" is demeaning to women in general. i appreciate that the women who post pictures of their boobs or butts or what-have-you are doing it of their own free will, but after seeing 10th/50th naked-something thread show up today i started thinking that it's odd how women in our society will accept such weird pitiful treatment- post their boobs for attention, and call it "fun". there's no beauty or dignity shown in those situations, and i thought it was curious that no one questioned it. peace
oh I completely agree with you..why is it that todays society makes people (Priamrily woman) think that to be naked or 'dirrty' is LIBERATNG for htem..I think its amoung the hugest lies sold to the masses..and its sad...I llok at my 14 year old sister and her friends.I look at the rise in rapings and sexual harassments and I look at what MTV shows..and I wonder how anyonce can ever consider it liberating.
i walked into a magazine shop today and really looked around, sort of for the first time, you know? honestly, it seemed that at least 75% of the covers had half-naked women sprawled all over, legs open, completely over-sexualized... it made me think of how de-sensitized we've become to it. people paint over the issue with "she's just proud of her body", or, "don't be a prude", and so on. give me a break.
haha....Ive been called a slut by a popular guy at party once (the only party here ive ever been to) it bugged my friend (who he also called down) But I thought it was funny..must be the modest and covering clothes i wear..or the lack of makeup...or the fact I have never been with any of the guys here or something.....haha
Most of them were started by girls and most of the others were requested by girls. Girls also started the penis threads that got shut down.
oh, i know.... and that's the strangest thing. what happened to women standing up against this kind of thing? from britney spears to christina aquilera, girls nowadays seem to think that sexy = exposing body parts.
