I've been going to the Reading festival for the past 8 years, yeah there are some assholes out there but they are far & few between, most of the people there are cool, just cos you've had one or 2 experiences of some mindless idiots
doesn't mean i should tell everyone not to go, I've not been to the Roo before
& beside all the negative comments on here, I'm looking forward to going !!, It's gonna be a different experience for me & I can't wait. Meh to the idots who go, just ignore the twats. A festival is what you make of it despite if 1 or 2 bad things happen deal with it & get over it. I aint gonna let noone spoil my time there !!!

 

Thats the atitude I like to hear! Festivals are fun, fun, fun... In 80,000 people if you get stuck with only assholes that says something about you not the festival. Same goes for all my friends who refused to see STS9 at Lollapolooza last summer. Awesome show with a ton of kind folks all around me.. its too bad my friends didnt go cause the vibe (which they were afraid of) was just like any other Tribe show, AMAZING.

 

I dont know sugarmaggie, last year could have been a mess with the whole bag incident. hehehe. miss ya

Yea wish I was going to but money is tight this year. You will have to come visit me. We can take your kids to a baseball game. And u and me can go to NYC, leave the kids with Lee. lol

I can't wait for bonnaroo.. I have only gone to much smaller festivals, and the bad experiences that everyone has described can happen anywhere.

Last year I was at a festival, and some "heady dread kid" spilt beer all over my friend.. Situations like this can happen anywhere. Accidents happen.

I'll definitely be at bonnaroo.

I'd also love to see YMSB at Bonnaroo, but they're doing Telluride (and also taking a lot of other kick ass bluegrass musicians "away" from Bonnaroo = ). On the flipside, I'm seeing Yonder Mountain next weekend anyways.

In terms of Bonnaroo, I'm psyched for DJ Sasha, it'll be my first ever live techno experience. And all the other amazing bands, of course. Wow. Perfect way to end high school.

 

I tired listening to Oysterhead... lol i dunno what to think exactly, def special though. I am also stoked for sasha (also poppin my live techno cherry), hopefully a ceratin sompthing will make me ride on all of his crazy levels and layers of sound. BTW anyone into clap your hands say yeah? They def live up to thier name and will provide an awesome dance atmosphere.

 

we should get all the hippies from this site together in like a car pool or something and hit up the show, or find someone with a few buses we can borrow for a week or 2 and embark on a journey from maine to tennesse picking up hippies going to the festival along the way! I know it wouldnt ever happen but it would be cool

 

hows the drugs there? I know they have alot of narcs and staff always around but is it really hard to bring a nice size stash in? Or if I bring my vehicle do they search the vehicles really well with dogs or what not? I Just dont want to go there and end up having to lose my stash when I arrive. Anyone know if there is alot of acid that goes to that festival and shrooms?

If you get caught with certain things you get a HEFTY fine. I know from personal experience. I'm talking a $2,500 fine. Then the officer goes, "Your going to have the best weekend of your life, here's your citation." My advice is be careful. Pills/Powders the have you arrested I believe.

Well I know I'm not mainstream and my friends arent mainstream so I guess that all depends on who you hang out with but IMO its gunna be a shit ton of fun.

Theres always people that wanna go......one way I go to festivals if i dont gotta a ride or people to go with is thru rideshare.......ive only used it once but hey..........you meet awsome new people and make new friends....
