A friend may be doing some vending down there, so I might try and tag along if his boss'll let me.

    LOVE!

I really, really, really want to go, if just to see Radiohead and Blues Traveler. I don't know where I'm going to get the money though. :(

A bunch of my friends are going so if I decide to go, at least I have a ride.

Right now it's down to Bonnaroo or a cruise with some friends around Mexico to speak Spanish....

    sunscreen & WATER WATER WATER
the first year, we went thru 5gallons before end of second day!
the south is soooo hot that time of year & there's not much shade in the fields, so bring some kind of tarp that you can make shade with. it's nice to have a cooler shady place to rest in the afternoon & to wait out the rain. one year it rained the entire weekend & i was sooo glad to have a semi-dry spot!

Can anyone give an estimate as to when Bonnaroo tickets sell out? Like....a month, a week, a few days...I'm wondering if I should throw caution to the winds and buy now (without a sure ride since I'm not 100 percent sure if my friends are going) or wait until I have confirmation on a ride. I'd just be really mad if they sold out before I got a chance to buy a ticket if I do have a ride.

i'm dissapointed in the headliners, def not like it used to be, more commercialized etc. maybe if SCi or keller or WSP was added, or even YMSB, but they will be at Telluride (which is probably where i'm headin). the scene is alot less kynd and has been seemign more and more like a big frat party over the years. it's moving away from the jamband type music to just big names everyone knows from TV.

I dunno why so many of you dis diversity in music. I think Roo has the best line-up of any fest, it has good elements and examples of almost all the genres you could ask for, many of them unameable. I would love if YMSB would join though.

I just ordered my ticket. Pretty much all of my friends are bailing on me this year so I may have to go solo, which might be fun because some of my friends whined and complained so much last year and at least I wouldn't have that to deal with.

If anyone is in the mood for making a friend there PM me and maybe we can try to meet up.

Whoa, now don't be dissing the line up at Bonnaroo. They have DJ Sasha. They have Amadou and Mariam. They have Oysterhead. They have Tom Petty. They have Damian Marley. They have Radiohead. They have Ricky Skaggs. I'd love to see Yonder Mountain or String Cheese, but, look, this is a pretty sweet lineup already. From mainstream rock and roll to reggae (sort of) to electronic to bluegrass to traditional jamband fare to world music to indie, they have it all. What may have started out as a typical (albeit large) jamband hippiefest is now growing to encompass more music, and that's fine with me. And I don't think they've left their roots either.

Besides, being mainstream doesn't mean it's bad music! I hate it when people dislike mainstream music because it's mainstream.

I hate to burst your bubble, but its the same way at wakarusa. BUT, you dont have to pay an arm and a leg to go to wakarusa. still, its quite expensive. I went the first year, and I only paid 65 bucks for a weekend pass, now its around 100....

its almost getting bad as roo, though, most people go there to either sell or do drugs, trust me I know this. I knew some people personally who said they were going to that fest, and I said, oh you going to check out some shows?? and they said, nope, going to deal. thats all they went there for! and I know last year was even worse, because one of my good friends told me.. I couldnt make it last year because it fell on fathers day weekend.

if I do go to waka this year, it will be for one night, probably....... thats it.
