sigh, I appologize to any I OFFENDED. My intentions was to imply that many that read and post here dont agree with american/british foriegn policy, and Iwondered what they thought of the use of bombing people on their way to work. if you go back in the archives you can find assholes that applauded the plane attacks on sept 11, 2003. I was simply wondering how many still felt that way, now that it isn the evil americans getting bombed. I merely wanted people to discuss how they felt on the subject..... I left it annonymous so people could be honest.
andy- i am not mad at ya...never could be...i just didnt understand the carefree lightheartedness of the poll. can we be friends again by the way it was 9/11/01 you dork
by high and low alert it means navy and army bases. for examle there are navy bases in the uk that have been on high alert since 9/11, and no they arent trying to keep us in fear at all, the goverment know most people fear terriost attacks. at the end of the day we were expecting what happened one way or another. and i think whoever it was is expecting us to hit back, but will we?
I said 'bollocks' because clearly wiggy is not going to punch anyone, or going to join a 'lynch mob'. I think she maybe a bit aggresive in her language but not in her actions. Stop generalising about a whole 'culture' just because of one persons harsh words.. It was just because wiggy does not know andy that well.. we do, so calm down. I suppose because i said 'bollock' i want to kick you in them ?. Thats right , no i don't.
Oh do you live on a base ?.. i understand what you mean if you do. If not i am confused. No i think they will be found and put in prison. We have no one realy to 'hit back' in any great way so no 'proper' conflict will be started with al-qaeda. They would probably love it if we tried.. that would give them a solled legitamcy for there crazy actions
i dont live in a navy base sod that, i live about 2 minutes from them, they are shitting themselfs as well, my friend is security there and he has got stirct instructions to watch and stuff like that. the whistles and horns are going like crazy as well. its scarey
How do they react to daily carnage in Iraq, unleashed by the US/British invasion? Mainly, I suspect, with complete indifference and boredom. This attack has been inevitable for ages, certainly since the day Blair decided to go along with the Bush invasion plan. And only yesterday, the war was a million miles from anyone's mind as they congratulated themselves on getting the 2012 olympics. A bit sick in a country that is anoccupying power in a foriegn nation, having invaded in the first place on the basis of a pack of lies. Some say this attack is meant to disrupt the G8 - but anyone with an ounce of perception already knows that no meaningful deal, esp. on climate change is coming out of that anyway. Nonetheless, my sympathies are with the victims - not just of these London bombongs, but also the victims of the daily bombings in Iraq - which the British media seems to have lost all interest in reporting.
oh lord, our media reports the iraqi casualties daily.... and you are right about the climate change....what an impass they continue to come to...i say lets get rid of all fundamental zealots of all sorts and all politicians...and see how the rest of us can handle this beautiful planet...will we find new excuses for war or will we opt for peace?
its horrible and obviously wanted to coincide with the G8 its just fucking sad and i do sympathize. im on the subway everyday, but then again, i doubt anyone would bomb the toronto subway system. just makes ya think you know.
Its always the ordinary people who suffer for the governments wrong decisions. My God those poor people. Britains no longer safe, and im leaving here as soon as possible. Very dodgy goings on. Makes me wonder whos really responsible. -Maxi.Xx
unfortunally their would be more reasons for war. im just saddened all around... not just for the people in london, but all the past and future victims. honestly, right now im ashamed to be a part of the human race.
I'm really sorry about those people who died or who are injured, but in Iraq, there die every day also a lot of people, probably even more, and nobody cares..
but who is saying no body cares? i care.... i get upset all the time... so frustrated cause i dont know what to do. people do care- not everyone but they are there
I think it's horrible. I can't imagine what it would be like to be excited or happy about killing innocent people.
On this forum i would imagine 80% are nothing like you describe. If you asked anyone in the UK they would have some kind of opinion on the situation in iraq. Not that people are discussing it ALL the time . It is in the news all the time.. Even i get a bit sick of it all . Not the situation the mindset of the reporting, that is not as obvious as your opinion, but is prety close sometimes. Erm 'life goes on' .. and Blair did not go along with Bush .. just like every member of the multinational force .. He came to the conclusion and the resolutions were quite clear.. that saddams outing was going to have to be the next action, now he could have said NO.. Just like every othe goverment leader involved a dicision was made. A dicision we can agree or disagree on; not a dicision we would probably like to make though (saying NO has it's own repercussions). I don't even think you seem to be the sort of person who would accept anything positive that came out of the G8 meetings . It is not only the G8 it is other nations taking part as well.. africa/india (and others) have a representatives (click on my sig') You obviously don't read the british newspapers very often. Mine are too, it is a tragedy.
it really ... wow, i know yet it seems so many different types of people through out time have gotten that sick pleasure. well, maybe im over sensitive at this time of the month but im sick to my stomach.
