Different people have different bodies, which means different musculature, bone structure and fat distribution. Not everyone with the same bf% is going to have the same shape.
it's posts like this where you repeat yourself a bunch of times that give away your identity. i can't show you anybody in real life, because we live nowhere near each other so my real life will never be within eyesight of your real life. but, the guy in the picture was a real person, and there are people out there who have similar bodies. i can think of one i know personally, but i won't show you because i don't have a picture of him and even if i did it would be unethical to show it to you without his permission. i swear he exists though. he lifts a lot of weights, so maybe that's part of the difference between his chubbiness and yours when you first started doing cardio.
After looking at these pictures again, I just don't believe them. To me even the 30% women has nothing to even worry about. I wouldn't even say she has body fat, if she's got body fat lemme tell you she has it in the right places. Girl at 40% looks cuddly. even the 50% one isn't as bad as I'd have imagined.
I would not want to be friends with any of them. I'm a recluse like that. I'd much rather just stare at them from a screen.
35% body fat does not mean 35% of body fat on the visible outside just under your skin As I understand you can have 20% of body fat without even looking overweight. That's because it is very normal and healthy to have a certain amount of fat in your body. When it is in the right places 25% to 35% are the most healthy looking and can be the most aesthetically pleasing, and 40% is often not as bad as it may sound to people at all.
How will I know how many percentages I have body fat? I asked gym if they measure body fat, and they said no! So I don't know how I am supposed to know my body fat percentages? Where will I go for that?
I don't have a six-pack. I have a flat stomach, and am lean enough to have a not very well defined four-pack, but I do not have a six-pack at the moment. But for once being an obese person of 265 lbs, I am more than happy with where I am now. I am still aiming for a six-pack just as a personal fitness goal, but I am not in any hurry to get there. I don't think a six-pack is attainable, much less sustainable for most people (at least not without a lot of very hard work and rigid dieting, with the exception to that being people who are young and/or have above-average genetics), and by no means is it a marker of health. Body fat percentage is measured with body calipers, so yeah, it often is visible on the outside of the body. Most men of average fitness are around 18-25% body fat, which is not very lean, but not necessarily overweight either. You can have a ballpark figure of a person's body fat percentage just by looking at them with their shirt off. A person with a fair amount of visceral fat is also going to have a fair amount of subcutaneous fat as well, though it might not be apparent when a person has most of their body covered with clothes.
You need to buy some body fat calipers, or else pay to have a DEXA scan if you want a really accurate number. Judging from your recent picture I would say you're at least 20-25% body fat -- not necessarily overweight, but not lean either.
