Obviously he was great. The only stuff I don't like is his shitty gospel period and his commercial-sounding 80's albums. And who could forget Self Portrait?
Ah, not remotely similar... Embarrassingly enough, I don't have any songs by him... what would you recommend as his best 60s/70s albums? And please no gospel because that makes me puke blood and bleed puke...
I would reccomend the following albums: Blood on the Tracks Blonde on Blonde Bringing it all Back Home to start off with - the most important thing to remember when first getting into Dylan, is the more you listen, the more it grows on you, and rapidly. I can send you some songs if you like
dylan is awesome man... by far the best song writer of all time... i got to see him this summer with willie nelson... it was a great fuckin show man... im gonna make it to at least one show every year while he still tours... because we all know he dont have too much left in him.. sorry to say... but age catches up with you sooner or later... my favorite albums are Time Out Of Mind.... Blood On The Tracks... and Blonde On Blonde... also his bootleg series are great as well....
same stuff over and over and over again... Limited in sex, they dare While money doesn't talk, it swears Obscenity, who really cares With a killer's pride, security It blows the minds most bitterly Life sometimes My eyes collide head-on with stuffed graveyards Kick my legs to crash it off But it's alright, Ma, it's life, and life only.
