You have no idea what he has or has not experienced. That's my point you as a white man (I assume) are getting upset at things you don't understand. The protests are not all violent. You want them to be so you can put it all in a neat racist box. "niggers are out of line all of them, just dance for me and catch that ball". Kind of odd that the right who champions the idea of using the seconded amendment has an issue with violence too as a side bar. What is a gun for? Not baking cookies and having polite conversation. They can use the same tools you use.

I see disingenuous aspects to Kaepernick's "protest" as I do the other millionaires who attempt to speak about how "oppressive" the US is. They epitomize the very opposite since MOST of the oppression in the US is wrought by the wealthy onto the rest of us. So having agents of wealth try to leverage their precarious "sympathies" is little more than an insult to people who face REAL oppression.

As for the protests, consider how they resonate. Some have been non-violent, but they are eclipsed by the violent ones simply because the media LOVES to report on violence. The marxists and hardline leftists know this and play to it as if choreographed (I know, they are choreographed, but I try to maintain some kind of faith that some of this is organic). Growing up in the shadow of San Francisco I lived in a time when people didn't care what you were as long as you weren't an asshole.

I long for those days. Instead we seem to have a running contest to see who can out-asshole each other. As for the 2nd amendment, it's archaic, sure. But only because of the restrictions that have been placed over the years. The point of it was not about hunting or target practice. The 2nd amendment was put in place to allow Americans to overthrow a tyrannical government if it reared its ugly head again. They knew the nature of men far better then than we do now.

Personally, I only keep guns because I live in the sticks and have occasion to deal with hostile wildlife. I haven't pulled a trigger in a decade, but if a rabid coyote goes after one of my kids, I'll dispatch it with great haste. I don't care for "gun nuts", they creep me out. And I don't hunt for the same reason I don't farm, I can buy what I need. If that changes, so too will I.

As for human decency, you seem to be assuming I'm a hard line racist when nothing could be further from that. Jane, my wife, is Louisiana Creole and her grandmother was darker than Mandella. So our children carry the same heritage. I have also worked in Africa and the Caribbean teaching people how to make clean water. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone in those places who thinks I have any racist leanings. So I have to assume you're responding as so many who have been consumed and confused by today's media where everything seems to be black and white.

If I'm not A, I MUST be B, right? Textbook Marx, a guy who rarely bathed and never paid his housekeeper, even after he raped her and got her pregnant. He didn't mind spending money, he just didn't feel it was his place to earn any. Think about it. Who do we know in today's society that fits that description? Sheer privilege with no consequences. The brave men and women who put their lives on the line to rescue all those people in Las Vegas are the same people these NFL players are protesting against. Just FYI.

No one is protesting Firemen or EMT"s which are the lion's share of the heroics. In that situation cops are not the ones concerned with saving lives they are concerned with finding the suspect which they did.

And that's a pretty weak argument to begin with. We can't protest because some of them do their job so let's ignore those that do not. Just silliness.

 

Allow me to clarify.

The kneeling protests were started by Colin Kapernick. An activist who expressed his contempt for the police department.

Clearly he's got a grudge. He started a fad of athletes of every level to protest with him for the same reason. When other athletes were asked why they knelt, or didn't stand at all, their answer was the same as Kapernick's.

 

This is the why BLM is needed you know. We have Americans who say Nazis have "free speech" so leave them alone. That imagery is fine to make a point why censor it? But a piece of clothing with a stereotypical joke about a cop is too much. A joke that many cops even embrace if you are not total dicks to them when you joke about it. Did this athlete have his team march the street saying "blood and soil" or maybe "black power now, kill the white devil". No he did not yet he is the risk the real un-American.

And they just don't see how ridiculous it all is. It's all predicated on the idea that the black person has no right to say anything. The police are always right and they have a problem with you it's because black people are trouble. Sorry if that's not you but the statistics do not lie. And they fail to see that as encouraging a mild racism at least or at worse truly racist and unstable people killing black people and getting away with it. Even clear video evidence is hardly ever enough to get them to say even this one cop not all made a mistake.

 

Black lives matter is a hate group hat has done nothing to help the struggling black community. Aside from promoting riots and promoting war with the police department. Which turn black communities to rubble. And cause police officers to have itchier trigger fingers when dealing with black suspects. They've got blood on their hands and they make the alt right look like hippies.

 

I think you have to separate BLM the movement and idea from BLM the organization.

Yeah, the BLM organization sucks. But that doesn't mean black lives don't matter.

 

I care about black lives. That's why I despise BLM.

 

People who say black lives matter are virtue signalling and probably racist fucks. Just a bunch of mindless zealots.

As a matter of actual facts, a decent black life killed by another black matters this much:
