Actually, that may not be such a bad idea (for anyone who's older than 20, and still watches the red carpet on the grammies).
Oh, right. Is that Beyonce or your Aunt? Does watching a five minute edited highlights on breakfast TV count?
You do seem to invest much more of yourself into debating and refuting than most others, do in the bullshit-y areas of the forums. I would have told you to Google it your damn self :afro:
Sometimes there are some good debates in Random thoughts. I would not be half arsed about a thread if I was interested - just because of it's location. If others choose to - not my problem. It was easy enough to find pictures where she sometimes looked lighter than usual. I guess I was more talking about skin bleaching where there is a permanent lightening of the skin. I def' wanted to see pictures of that...
It's not half-arsed necessarily. It's whether they are debating, discussing, and even what kind'f argument they want to engage in. When talking about social topics I rarely like to cite sources or get into that kind'f thing, because I want to encourage the user to think about my opinion for themself; rather than give them proof they can easily choose to ignore. I mean, you can't expect a Michael Jackson-like transformation; because every celebrity and agent knows how that turned out. There are lightening agents that aren't so extreme, they are commonly used for dark spots, and that kind'f thing. She could be lotioning up with that. You're looking for proof that she is; but you aren't offering any proof that she isn't, besides saying it could be lighting. Which is really just pointing out how hard it is for us to know for sure.
I guess I am asking: is that how she was and is this how she is. Rather than: is that how she was and this is how she sometimes is. I know she sometimes looks lighter, and she also sometimes looks darker. The reason for that, imho, is the reasons I gave. Yes, I do think her record company might have had a hand in suggesting a lighter/whiter Beyonce would sell better - like Whitney, and a multitude of other stars. I don't think she constantly lightens her skin, though. In the sense she is never seen looking a certain shade or her natural shade.
