In fact, I think it wold be easier to recommend places to stay away from. Milan - Snobby, overrated, expensive city that aside from Il Duomo is ugly too. Naples Train Station - dodgy and dangerous. Malia(Crete) - Just so full of drunken Brits, you spend the entire time thinking you're in England on Retard's Week.
Rome is fucking awesome too. I have never hit mainland Greece, but Corfu and Hania in Crete, were a blast.
I hope its Parc Guell That place is amazing. All the Gaudi benches and the overlook of the city, and its huge and keeps going up into the hills
People are always telling me. Skip Rome, go to Napoli. Depends what you're looking for, of course. I think if I had to choose, I'd go to Rome. Ya gotta go to Rome.
i found out today that berlin is in germany, i'm fucked when it comes to geography... but tomorrow i'll write down all these places, the obvious ones i know, but some of the less obvious ones i'll have to write down i'm too blonde for my own good
I think that's what it is. Reason I know is my friend's been there and recommended me to go. He said it was one of the most amazing social experiences he's had. No one was defensive and the interaction was incredible. He said people drank and sang till dawn.
You found out Berlin is in Germany. WTF? Praxis, maybe I'm a snob but there is no way on earth you should skip one of the biggest open air museums in the world. Rome is fucking great. Romans are also great. Napoli is a nice city and the people are friendlier than Rome but the train station really is quite dodgy, especially after dark.
i hope i don't get put into white slavery, other than that i think i'm good people tend to be intimidated by me so i think i'll do well in terms of theifs question about skirts, i wear them all the time but they're usually short...should i keep them at home? i want to blend in and not be all "touristy"
yeah, seriously i suck ass at geography and honestly thought berlin was it's own country, and today i found out it's in germany this is probably the main reason i think i might get lost and never be heard from again i get lost in my town, i suck at diections and anything to do with geography
Don't be stupid. Wear whatever you like. Europe has to be one of the most diverse places on earth when it comes to fashion.
I remember my beautiful Czech friend Marta, when she came to the US, dressed terribly for her. Still a knockout. By the time she left back for home, it was like bam, everyday. It's probably a lot different in like Paris than rural Czech republic though.
As regards not knowing about geography, that may well turn out to be a plus. You can get off the beaten track and not just follow the herds around the capital city tour of Europe. There are some amazing places that just requie a little more looking. Like Dubrovnik in Croatia.
Is October Fest even worth going? My cousin is out there and my buddy wants to drag me along. All I wanna do is Berlin and Hamburg as far as Germany, but he insists.
I think that your clothes don't make you stand out so much in Europe, especially in the cities. People tend to wear whatever they want which leads to a lot of different styles being OK. I'm not sure about the US, but I would imagine the fashions to be more conformist to certain images.
I've never been. I've heard mixed reports. It is now almost completely a tourist extrasvaganza though, full of drunken Antipodeans and Americans. Not sure if it sounds like my thing anymore. Maybe when I was 23.:cheers2:
Prague was a great city but now because of all the bachelor parties and hen nights, it is one of the more expensive places to go out in Europe. Still, well worth a visit as it is quite beautiful. I'd like to go to Budapest, and also do a little tour around Bulgaria/Romania.
