Ah, compassion. Compassion meaning to suffer with. There is no shortage of compassion in this world, but there is the mistaken idea that we can be apart or suffer alone.

Does the bible leave open the possibility that no one goes to hell?

All sins are forgiven save for blaspheme against the Holy Spirit.
The reason for the one exception is this:
All conditions that we face arise at the moment of conception. If you cannot conceive for yourself a spirit of redemption then you find yourself forever the victim of guilt.
Heaven and earth are both perceptions and where one is the other is not. You can see both but you cannot see both at the same time. You cannot serve two masters. It is not that it is suggested that you cannot but that you cannot in fact. Our biological switching mechanism is either on or off, yes or no.

Yes. It's called Universalism, and it's been a part of Christianity for a long time, going back to the third and fourth centuries (Origen, Clement of Alexandria, Gregory of Nyassa). It was challenged by St. Augustine and declared heretical by the Church in the 6th century. Today, many of its followers find a home in the Unitarian Universalist Church, which is not specifically Christian, and in the Christian Universalist Church, which is. The CUC takes the position that Christ's redemptive sacrifice saved us from that awful fate. Here in Oklahoma, African American Penecostal Bishop Carlton Pearson caused a stir by embracing the doctrine. He was declared a heretic by his fellow African Penecostals, and formed a breakaway church which merged with the Unitarian Universalists.

See, this is why I don't like institutions and I have reason to believe that the Bible is against institutionalism

Universalism assumes no one goes to hell, but I was just asking if the Bible leaves open the possibilty that everyone gets saved. Most Christians I know assume someone has to go to hell, but does the Bible actually say this?

Thanks thedope. Blasphame agaist the Holy Spirit is actually another question of mine.

Do you just feel like being insulting or do you have something to back that up? :D

Oh please excuse, I guess I should be saying what you have come to know though your Spirit, instead of what you believe.;)

Nice dodging the questions. Next time, if you wish to speak in tongues find someone to interpret for you.

You do know that you are in Sanctuary and that Sanctuary is for Christians only, don't you?

Also "real" Christians know what the Bible says about spreading the Good News and know that it is their job to do so, if they wish to be considered Christians by God and so your opinion to the contrary just doesn't hold much weight. :D

Before the New System of things after Armageddon, where all will live forever, everyone goes to hell, good and bad alike, because hell is the comon grave of mankind.

Yes, it a possibility that everyone could make it into the New System but seems highly unlikely as Jesus says; Now a certain man said to him: “Lord, are those who are being saved few?” He said to them: “Exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door, because many, I tell YOU, will seek to get in but will not be able (Luke 13:23-24)

I think that it just means that most people die before they are resurrected into a paradise earth. It's just that a very few escape that death.

I'll most likely die with you. 'See' you in oblivion! :D

Basically, we'll both say "be right back, lol" before we die ;)
