Actually there's a lot of danger in sea food. A danger especially for pregnant women is mercury as it can harm the unborn child. Apart from that, cases of illness from bacteria in fish mostly occurs from shellfish. Shellfish might be protein rich but there are many dangers of toxins and illness that come with it.
I would probably say that because of these dangers God commanded we not eat it, especially in an age when it would have been many times more dangerous.

Shellfish are detritus feeders and can accumulate toxins or heavy metals in their tissues, some of these foods can cause shellfish poisoning. Some people suffer from serious allergies to shellfish.

The human brain is the same and today's hierarchical prejudices are the same as they were then. Our mistake is in considering the technology and understanding of their day to be primitive in relation to ours. To consider them unsophisticated in their concoctions.

I think inaccuracies have more to do with the self serving efforts of men to manipulate the tide of current events. Much like our media news coverage and broadcasts.

You're asking for a value judgment of a described practice. Are our judicial penalties too severe?

I wish I could answer that question in a way that was palatable to everyone but I can't honestly do that.

In truth there are no penalties. There are verdicts but those are accepted or rejected. It is the offended that claim the right to offense. You may find me contemptible but that is your difficulty alone if I find you agreeable. You may physically overpower me but that is your crime not my punishment, you cannot in fact impose any measure of guilt.

 

The purpose of the Bible is not to inform mankind of every detail of life but to guide mankind out of the "wilderness" they find themselves in.
